A family in Maharaj Ganj in the state of UP consists of 136 members including 98 voters , exercised their franchise on May 12. The whole family is of the opinion, “ it is better to choose a good candidate than to go in for a political party.” Of course the big family did not divulge the candidate whom they voted for.

In a way, they are correct. A candidate can change party but not himself. A good person will always be good whatever party he joins. But there is no guarantee that the party you like will be able to retain the candidate you voted for. For example, I voted a few year back fro Samajvadi party. Now the concerned candidate is in cogress.

True. For a good candidate, there is no guarantee for his existence in a party. He himself will jump to another party or the party may expel him for his ideologies.
