Hardliners in Karnataka have been at it again.

A recent circular issued by the State's government to schools has asked teachers to allocate three hours, every week, for lessons on the Bhagwad Gita.

And now, over 8,600 minority schools in the State are upset.

Adding fuel to the fire was Education Minister Vishveshwar Hegde Kageri's comment that protestors against the Gita classes should 'leave the country'.

"Only those who want to promote religious ideologies of foreign countries are protesting the Bhagwad Gita classes. If they want to promote their ideologies, they have no place in this country. They should leave," Kageri said.

The BJP ruling in Krnataka is a non secular organization and has scant regard for pluralist Indian society. There is no surprise in such outrageous order.

The only way left to opponents of such order is to move court.

It is wrong to impose once thinking in such a way. How-come a statesman make such assertions without taking the interests of the minorities into consideration.India is a secular state and all the religions should enjoy equal rights without fear.

Arise Awake and Rest Not till the Goal is Achieved.
India is a secular country. It is highly dangerous to have a word like this from a CM .
