What you said is about the medical benefits of Garlic. Apart from this Garlic is the mainstay behind many religions.inIslam it is recommended that garlic should not be had before going to Mosque as its smell is distracting.
Garlic has always been to as a health food and in our community it is given in different forms to mothers with new born babies so that it helps in purifying and produce more milk for the baby. And of course by now everyone knows that it is good for both heart and Diabetes..
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
In addition to the health benefits Garlic is centered around the beliefs of several religions and countries around the world. Islam prohibits the use of Garlic before going to prayer as it distracts the minds. Actually this is the new light thrown on Garlic in the link article.
Garlic is very useful and is used widely for a wide range of common ailments and as therapeutic remedy in almost all Indian homes, except Jain community and a few others for religious beliefs. Garlic is chopped and added to coconut oil which is then heated on slow fire until the garlic chars. This is then left to cool and the oil thus infused with garlic, is used to rub on hands, feet, chest and back of newborns, babies and toddlers to cure cough and cold.
