3 teenage girls tied to lamp post, beaten by public

Such incidents occur many times. But this time the victims of public outrage were girls. So this is news.

This is really sad, instead of beating the girls they should have handed them to the police

It appears that you favor punishment by beating publicly. Possibly what you suggest may be okay. But even then this should be according to law. Presently, nobody can take law in his own hands. Flogging at public place may be okay but this should not be arbitrary. Long ago I read that in ancient Europe, the offenders would be tied to whipping posts in streets and the passersby could beat them with the cane available there. The offender would be removed from the whipping post after a fixed period.

This is inhuman,theft or not no one has the right to take law into their hands, if so why do we need a justice system at all? we can go back to barbaric times when Jungle law prevailed...

This is just the ridiculous things going on day by day.A shameful act.What about the country's law.Just sleeping.

Again a shameful act! I feel very sad as to when are these kinds of act going to stop in our country. Time and again people take law in their hands and disregard humanity.

I don't think without confirmation they have right to do anything to those girls. Even if the offence is confirmed then it is law that should decide the punishment. There are people who steal things by some external pressure..

This is ridiculous public should not become police they should leave it to Police only. Law is something every body should rely on one cannot take law in his/her own hand. :evil:
