I think the ultimate aim of love is having a relationship to understand each other feelings respect the same and share happiness and have a shoulder to weep in sadness.
Love is a spontaneous feeling and instinct. So, there can be no aim for this. When you do some thing deliberately, you have an aim. But there is no aim for feelings like fear, love, hate etc.
