    yes the prayer has the power to heal anything in the world but you must prayer with a whole heart then only the prayer will heal anything other wise it is like a light in a air.

    We have some spritually inclined people who see in prayers great powers and it's an individul's attitude and faith.

    Prayer will not heal.But it will give us a confidence.We have to treat for the illness first.

    Prayers may add to self confidence and may assure that the patient is getting better. This affects psyche. Again this will depend on an individual's mind set.

    It's a powerful tool to psyche oneself up in difficult times.Frankly I always felt nice when someone is praying for me or I do it for someone!

    The notion that prayers can cure is a superstition. Even Mritunjaya Yagna could not save Dhirubhai Ambani.

    Prayers have only some psychological affect and nothing else. When everything else fails, people turn to prayers. Even doctors advise to pray when treatment fails. The Christian churches hold mass prayer meetings for 'Changai' or 'healing'. These may be well intended but are a futile exercise.

    I don't look upon these prayer having magical powers but holding a prayer for someone's succes or recovery is good gesture! That's all about it!
