This matter has been raised many times in these forums. Next Prime minister will be elected by MPs in the future parliament. This is all. We need not speculate.

It is very difficult to predict.. Because it is the matter of the equations between the political parties .. They will choose the person who can dance according to their wish.. CMP will be the medium for it... :)

I agree Kumaresh. No political party gets convincing majority. Hence, this is a matter of tie up between different groups.

I read in a newspaper sometime back that Rahul Gandhi may become the PM of india before Dr.Manmohan Singh finishes his term.I don't know how far it is true.

Mean- It depends on UPA. But then the term of Rahul Gandhi will be very less instead of full five years. All good and bad work of Dr. Manmohan Singh will get shifted to Rahul Gandhi. In this case Congress will contest next elections under leadership of Rahul Gandhi. This is a matter of UPA and congress strategy for next parliamentary elections.

I think our current pm Manmohan Singh will retain his place on next election also......

Don't worry my friends, our incumbent Prime Minister,Dr Manmohan Singh keeping the seat warm for Rahul Gandhi!!
It will be very unfortunate for India if inexperienced and novice person like Rahul Gandhi becomes prime minister.

But who knows ..if illiterate Rabri devi can become CM of Bihar.. Any body can become PM of India.. Wind can flow in any direction..

Note : I am not comparing Rahul with Rabri!!!

I don't think Rahul Gandhi will become prime minister soon. He is not having much experience in politics.

Yeah Rakesh, but don't forget the name Gandhi is associated with him. and people who support congress look upon Rahul Gandhi as if he is the heir to the throne!
