Osama bin laden to be deleted in Facebook - News

Facebook has decided to delete the account having names starting with Osama Bin Laden as it has found that these are used as a medium for spreading religious slogans which in turn spreads terrorism. Even though all the accounts having this name does not come into this category, they still decided to remove all the accounts having osama's name as a precaution.

    By such methods, it is not possible to fight terrorism. There are no separate names for the terrorists. Their names are same as others'. If some body with name 'Gulshan' indulges in any criminal activities, I cannot be expected to change my name or be treated like that man.

    I wonder how such tokenism helps to fight terrorism and terrorist.It's true that Osama's name has become synonymous with terrorism but then it's illogical to suspect any person with name as having anything to do with terror.

    You should not fire the entire palace to kill a rat. The name Osama is now given to lot of children in the middle east. Those innocent once will be affected by this act. We should not support the westerners hidden agenda to side line the entire muslim world. If you do have a surname having muhammad or related then you will have some 4 to 5 hour checking in the US airports before entering and leaving. This just shows how insecure they are. Instead of deleting the names from facebook they should have some other methods for finding the real culprits using the name and have them sacked.

    Name should not matter. The main reason is that some person is just posting slogans on terrorism... That should be banned.
