It totally depends on whether a person believes in such alternative courses. Such alternative therapies work only for those who believe in them and follow them with their hearts. Those who try them out only as a last resort or without any faith or conviction, it may not work for them. What you suggest is a good thing, natural therapies have never hurt any one, but each to his own.

Natural therapies are non invading therapeutic methods. The best part of Natural therapies are they do not have any side effects. I do yoga either in the morning or in the evening. Yoga has the potential to cure many chronic diseases And it has been scientifically proved.
alternate forms of medicine are found to be beneficial in many ailments. Homeopathy is highly effective in curing skin ailments and many chronic diseases. Ayurveda treats stones and weight reduction very well. Unani medicines are effective for respiratory ailments. So one can try them.

The initiator of the post said that alternative medicines should be also tried to treat ailments. When one is suffering from cough and colds or kidney stones or stomach pain or bleeding etc which yogic asana will help him at that point. That was the reference point. You can go to any length to prove me wrong. It gives you pleasure, carry on.
Parvatasana or Mountain pose Sukhasana or easy Pose, Ustrasana or Camel pose are some of the Yoga Asanas to prevent common cough and cold.
