Is it right that top politicians like Lalu, Jayalalitha and others keep on receiving VIP treatments even after they have been convicted of a crime? Is this not a gross misuse of power? This is a provision provided for them under the law crafted by the previous government which I personally feel should be amended. They shd wait their turn like all other citizens instead of being gven preferrential treatment...

Please clarify what preferential treatment they get. Is this in traffic or house allotment or what? Please also state what are the rules that you seek amendent. She is no more C.M. and hence is naturally not eligible for any facilities available to C.M. Posibly, ther may be spme privieges of ex C.M. do you say that privieges as ex C.M. if any should be withdrawn?

Once a politician is convicted he is nothing but a criminal. Providing special bed, allowing home made food are certainly preferential treatments. These facilities should not be provided, even though they are ex -CMs.

some faciities are security related. The ex C.M. needs more security which jail authroitis have to provide. The facilities provided are according to jail manual. Now the position is clear. The Jail manual needs amendment. Except security, there need be no special privileges.

True. Her Bail application, which was adjourned for October 6 was reconsidered and the Karnataka high court agreed to take up her bail plea today. This is certainly a preferential treatment.

Her bail application now adjourned for October 7. Law is equal to all. Nobody should take advantage against it.

Even though her bail application was adjourned, Jayalalita evidently was given a preferential treatment.
