Do we lose our freedom after marriage

Most of them believe that we lose freedom after marriage. How far it is true

    Freedom from what?. I don't think in those lines. I never felt that I lost freedom after marriage.

    Ya I too never felt that I have lost my freedom. But I heard many saying that they have lost their freedom after marriage.

    Man is born free but everywhere he is in chains. Marriage is also one such chain. In a way, man loses freedom. The woman also loses freedom. They have to adjust to each other on even the most routine matters like selection of dress, food, movie, TV channel. The weaker one is greater loser.

    I think that this lost freedom is real freedom which keeps you free from all worries, some get financial freedom while some others get freedom from cooking. :laugh:

    Right! This is the 'freedom' that a slave would get. A free man has all the worries. Master takes over worries of the slave. He feeds, clothes and give shelter but will get all his command obeyed without question. :laugh:

    I think it is not loseing freedom. It is adjustment in new situation.

    It is a question of compromise rather than losing your freedom....It is mutual but there are many more advantages that balance out the compromises , so you dont really mind :)

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    And they thought Ambanis were richest people in country, they did not know that they owed most to financial institutes and public as wel. Every thing is not true on its face value, so is freedom. It has different meaning for different people.
