yes art stream is really good. each stream is good if we give our best effort for it.
why this stream is associated with such negativity I can't make out! Great careers could be made out of this!
Certainly have especially in the teaching field as lecturers, professors etc.
You need to select a career first. Then decide which course will suit. The course may be in any stream. If you wish to be a psychologist, you will choose psychology in arts stream. If you wish to appear in Indian Economic Service, which is distinct fro IAS, you must be M.A. in Economics. This is also in arts stream.

First of all,I don't think that these three aforesaid streams should be compared. It depends on one's interest and his strength in that area that which field he goes for.

As far as scope is concerned, Arts too have lots of scope like jobs in teaching line, administrative jobs, PHD in new subjects of arts and even economics.

Arise Awake and Rest Not till the Goal is Achieved.
today still art part or stream have a loys of option to choose among them.
Yes of course! There are a number of career options other than science and commerce. Unfortunately Arts stream has always been looked down upon as the one for people who score less marks which in reality is NOT the reflection of the intelligence and the capability of a person. There are so many options such as in the Food and Beverages industry, tourism, entertainment, creative aspects etc. which can be pursued via the Arts field. One only needs to look beyond the prevalent fads.

Personally speaking, all fields are equivalent for me. For me it is do what pleases you, without thinking the money part.

The money automatically comes.

I would like to share my personal story in this regard.

After 10th, I took science, got bored of it in 2 years. Then studied biotechnology for one year (did not go for my exams as trains were crowded).

Then went for a Business Management degree. Completed my graduation last year. Took 3 jobs after that at Tata COnsultancy, JP Morgan and Bank Of America.

Quit the jobs as I was already doing well on my online income and had just joined job to get exposure as to how a team is handled, work ethics and inside information on how to get a company started. I also made good contacts in the process.

Now, I am a full time blogger, affiliate marketer, freelancer, web-designer, SEO specialist and I help small time business to get their business online.

So if I look back, my education is not helping me to make money but it has certainly broaden my outlook and I would not have been the same if I had not studied.

So the bottom line is you can make money out of any knowledge you have it should not necessarily depend on your formal education.
Arun, I must say you have got the courage to do exactly what you wanted and most importantly, explore the real vocation within you. Also kudos to your parents who supported you! After all there are infinite number of examples around us where the children want to do something else but end up doing another thing just because either their parents want it or that is current scenario!
