Who is Wise and Who is Enlightened?

I have found this quote containing the answer and here it goes!
"He who knows others is wise.. He who knows himslef is enlightened." What do you say?

    This is a bit philosophical. S far we know only one enlightened i.e. Gautam Buddha. The word 'Buddha' means 'enlightened. Most of us are either wise or fool.

    Wisdom and enlightenment are two words which admit of different interpretations.To my humble understanding both seem to be inseperably linked and enlightenment is a much higher spiritual goal with wisdom as a means to attain it!

    Nice quote Chinmoy and you have explained it well!
    Gulshan, though Gautam Buddha is the only one person who is considered as enlightened, I think there were many many others who too were enlightened! With regards to US, we are mainly fools because we all conisder ourselves as wise as owls!!
