Yeah. You run as fast as you can to escape from the chasing dog. You are not alone. Many of us do like you.

But, what you are really supposed to do is not to run away but to stop and stare at the dog. The dog turns away.

It is the same with dealing adversities in life. Don't run away but face them. Confront them with courage and boldness. The adversities simply melt away.

Some of friends suggested stand still in front of dog. But sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't works. When the dog is angry and it is trying to hurt everyone who is nearby, then it is better to run away. If the dog is only chasing you then it may stop when you stop.

Chances are there for both types of happenings. We do not know that a dog is normal or mad. The best option would be to be vigilant on the road and try to avoid by lanes, where the chances of stray dogs are less.

There are 2 street dogs in my current colony and they have bitten a couple of people as well and they are quite dangerous and ferocious at times. Should guard well against them and they are very unpredictable and come and scare suddenly by barks. So far in the recent times they have been dormant.

The people who were bitten ran away from the dogs? Are you sure they were bitten with out any provocation?. The point here is not to run away even if the dogs bark. If those people ran away from the dogs out of panic, then naturally the dog bites.

If you bend down and act as if you are taking a stone from the ground and show the throwing action in a furious manner, most of the ‘thinking’ dogs will escape. But against those dogs that do not think or do not know anything about acting, you have to fight using some real weapon or stick. Here, running is injurious to health.

A wise advice. Make the dog scared. Stand still and pretend as if you are going to hit either with a stick or a stone. The dog bolts away. Running away from the dog, you are putting yourself in difficulties and the risk of Bite.

If a dog chases you, this means that you are stranger in that street, so it is better next time one should go in known street so that street dogs looked at you and acting as if they have not seen you.

True. As a pet owner I could know this fact during my walk in the morning along with my pet,.

Was it about pet owner only, the dogs do not like strangers in their areas, men or pets/animals. I think we have had enough discussion on this topic now, Thanks everyone.
