    The beauty contests are meant for commercial publicity of sponsoring companies. These do not give any pride. Nor do they shame us. However organizations like shiva Sena and probably Marxists also dislike these contests. That is why the achiever in these contests are not given award like padma shree, Padam Bhushan etc like film artists, singers, sports persons.
