Sometimes Sex Education is also known as relationship and sex education. We can say this as the way to get information and right attitudes and beliefs about sex, relationships, intimacy and sexual identity. I wanna say sex education is also about developing youth’s skills so that they make informed choices about their behaviour, and feel confident and competent about acting on these choices. It is widely accepted that young people have a right to sex education. This is because it is a means by which they are helped to protect themselves against abuse, exploitation, unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV and AIDS.

Santosh Sir I want to tell you about the aim of sex education. Sex Education has its own aim to decrease the the risks of potentially negative outcomes from sexual behaviour, such as unwanted or unplanned pregnancies and infection with sexually transmitted diseases including HIV. It also aims to contribute to young people’s positive experience of their sexuality by enhancing the quality of their relationships and their ability to make informed decisions over their lifetime. Sex education that works, by which we mean that it is effective, is sex education that contributes to both these aims thus helping young people to be safe and enjoy their sexuality.

Moreover, it is the bad luck of our society who donot accept it as a matter of concern,
Everybody takes it as the violation of INDIAN CULTURES, but it is no where related to indian culture, its about, how we tackle the situation. This type of thinking stops India growing and it still remain developing.
India is second country in world for having HIV problem, Sex education is necessary to remove this black spot from India.
Sex Education can do many benefits to India and Indians, It can decrease population, aware children, protect girls, knowledge youth etc.
Only then India can develop and can come in developed countries of the world.

Care has to taken to see that whatever you teach or impart doesn't appear vulgar as health is a sacred subject and has to be dealt with in a tactful manner. Many counsellors and educators feel that initiating a topic like sex education at the high school level suddenly is what creates a repulse.
Sex education is absolutely necessary and should be started from the primary school level. They should be taught about small things like good touch, bad touch, hygiene, modesty etc and by the time they reach puberty, matters can be discussed in greater details and once you lead them on to it, it becomes a natural process

Schools life remains an integral part of every child's development. Along with the academic subjects, sex-education should be given equal importance. Trained teachers, psychologists and medical consultants should deal with the subject.
While imparting sex-education the boys and girls should be divided into two groups (one for boys and other for girls). They should be taught separately. This way the lady teachers should teach girls and male teachers should teach boys. Children will not feel embarrassed. They will freely clarify their doubts and queries.
Due care should be taken about the contents of the subject. This should be decided by a team of doctors and psychologists of the respective field.

Before we even justify that sex education being made compulsory in school, let us ask ourselves-how many schools actually implement it?Why is it that in the name of 'sex' teachers get embarrassed? I do not see any teachers openly discussing about 'sex' topic to students-they feel that they are 'spoiling' them.
And if you are focusing on 'Indian Culture' and respect to 'Indian Culture' let me bring to the light that every student that have gone to School in ancient India, knew about sex, they were trained thoroughly about what is sex and how we need to respect one another and ethics about touching each other. We have temples and figurines showcasing the 'art' of sex
But if we say that the education of sex in India is good, then how does it happen that many people turn to 'rape' someone if they were not thoroughly educated about 'sex' and controlling their desires? Do you think that those people were taught about it in their schooling?

Nowadays some advertisements showing products such as contraceptive pills, condoms, etc donot teach about sex,but provoke students to "experiment" and check it out what it is.When students are exposed to such methods and not taught in schools ,then where can they get a good education?
People in India are presumably living in fear. They are 'scared' of what people say.In countries like USA,talking about 'sex' is considered 'casual' but in India,if anyone talks about 'sex' it is considered an embarrassment or a subject that causes great 'disgrace' to the personality of the person.
I want to ask you genuinely, how many of you were actually taught thoroughly about 'sex' by your school teacher?

Mam, I agree with you totally, that this subject is not being taught in any of the schools or that the teachers hesitate to teach it.
The matter here we want to discuss or required to discuss is not what happened, but it is what require to happen...
If this type of education is not been given till now, then it should be made available. there should be such facalities and availabilities by which teachers do not hesitate and also students get awared.

If parents teach this to their children then it will be very nice.
Like mom teaching to daughter, father teaching to son. They will know what is required and what not .But its not happening now a days, parents also feeling shy...Teacher is good but parents are feeling shy to teach their kids in home, then its difficult to teach in a class. Now a days students have less value on teachers, they will ask questions in a way not able to explain in all.

According to me sex education is necessary.
Its all hormonal changes in the body and students must know to handle it in the right way.
They dont understand those changes and also they dont know how to react and do as they wish. Some go in the right way and some in the wrong path. So it is better to educate the students.
