Walking, Watching and Listening
I have been noticing a lady during my morning walks for last couple of days not for any special purpose but for her way of walking and in doing so her movements make her an instant attraction of the fellow walkers. I agree she is a bit overweight of about 110 kg for her height 5’3” maybe an inch here or there but that is nothing that makes her the center of attraction but the way she walks always gives me a strange feeling. I have no words to describe the way she walks and the words I can think of are not printable.
I am not saying I walk in a perfect way but I have been walking for so many years and have seen so many different walking styles in my long walking career that I can almost write a book on walking styles but the one I have seen in this lady is something entirely different. It’s one of the funniest scenes when I see her coming from the opposite side on the same walking path in a Jumping Jack style intentionally moving her entire body right to left and left to right with special movements to her hands.
With all my experience of walkers-watching I am seriously planning to start a study on classification of walking styles and their benefits that could perhaps be used by different walkers for different purposes. Seriously, I have seen so many styles like someone walking in Army style, or a person walking like an ostrich jumping on his toes or a person striding like a Kangaroo or a lady pacing like a duck.
And while on the subject let me mention the lovely couples who finish their morning session of love chat in the park adding a little bit of attraction to otherwise dry walking session of people like us. Call me jealous but it’s perhaps the modern way of keeping young and fit which I lacked so seriously in my younger days. How I wish I was born a couple of decades later and save the feeling.
The best walkers however are the ones who come in groups and take full advantage of their time gossiping about everything in the world. I am sure I am getting benefit of my morning walking and jogging in more than one ways first I am enjoying a better physical health and at the same time finding it good for my mental health. Now the lighter side of walking-
Walking and Jogging- Good for Your Fitness
I am fond of walking and I write about my walking activities from time to time in different sites. I know some of you are aware of my walking and jogging habit but I keep repeating it as if I am the self appointed brand ambassador of walking. My activities are not limited to walking but I also give some time to jogging and brisk walking. My personal experience says that whenever I stopped walking it has always resulted in physical problems for me although I never gained weight.
There may be different opinions of different fitness experts about remaining healthy but no one can deny that there is no better exercise than walking or running which keep us fit for long time and that too without spending any money. There could be difference in opinion whether running is better than walking but it entirely depends on your body needs and structure. If you exercise for the purpose of reducing body weight than running is better for you but people like me prefer walk as it has the least effect on bones.
I prefer walk or brisk walk for most part of my exercise but if someone wants me to jog along with him, I always give him a company for 200 meters or so. I have always felt that walking always have its maximum effect on hands, knees, thighs and toes but jogging is good for entire body as one has to maintain a rhythm in his entire body with faster movements. However, jogging should begin with walking and as your body becomes stronger one can gradually increase his speed.
There is an expert advice for people interested in jogging, keep your balance on your front of your paws. Jogging is also helpful for providing oxygen to your heart but not advised to people suffering from asthma, heart trouble, arthritis, obesity and back related problems. My favorite exercise is I walk at normal pace for a minute and then brisk walk for one minute than back to normal walk. I keep repeating this process for 20-30 minutes unless a jogger takes me for a company. Try it, you will love doing it.
Funny incidents during walking- Eavesdropping
You know, my morning walks often provide me some funny incidents coming from my fellow walkers as I have to listen to some foul mouthed people which is definitely not a pleasant experience and at times some lovely but childish sentences coming from not so childish but adult persons.
I am not only referring to people that come in my contact but some the conversations I hear while passing them or walking behind them. You can blame me eavesdropping but trust me whatever I hear comes to me without my having such an intention but I agree I have the opportunity of having listened interesting things at number of times, intention or no intention.
I know it’s certainly against ethics and cultural rules to listen to private conversation even if a person doing it for a valid reason but in my case it is certainly not my idea but I listen to them without any such intention. Of course, one can move out of the way when such conversations are on to somewhere else but by the time I move myself away I get to hear some of the lines and those lines are enough to give me the whole idea of the basic story.
I often hear people foul mouthing and wonder why people speak in such a foul language and what best I can think is that when a person is overly frustrated but has not the idea of how to address his problem then calls name to blow off his steam to get rid his frustration. Or maybe they believe in the saying that ‘even whining around allows us to get a new prospective in life’.
I am not saying I have never used bad language but as far as I remember I have never used the ‘F’ words in my conversation even if I was talking with my friends or total stranger when the things took an ugly turn. I know my friends, so they never judge me for my bad outbursts and that too in seldom case and never too long.
While on the subject, do you remember anybody ever said that our workplaces forbade us or had a policy on misappropriate behavior within close friends as long no one else was hearing? I have stopped it now for long but I used to try it sometimes with my close friends and coworkers during social gatherings but always without using any ‘F*** words of course.
Disclaimer- No malicious or bad intention please

MG Singh created new article Iran is a Terrible Place and Women are arrested for Agitating against Hijab.
Iran is an Islamic republic, that is a republic only in name as it is more and more a totalitarian state with a religious zeal. Since 1979, when the Iranian revolution toppled the Shah of Iran, women are compulsorily forced to cover their head and wear the hijab.Though the Hijab does not find a place in the Islamic holy scriptures, yet the ruling religious dispensation in Iran has enforced it on the women. The irony is that such dress restrictions do not exist for men.Women who refused to follow in line are often arrested by the religious police and fined or sent to jail. Many will not know that a woman in Iran cannot even go to a university, without the permission of her husband or guardian. In short, Iran is a terrible place There was a long-simmering discontent against this draconian law enforced by the Iranian government of wearing the Hijab compulsorily. But now it is reported that this discontent burst into the open along with the agitation against the Iranian government. Women have taken to the street and publicly removed their hijab as a protest against the unjust law.
Agitation and demonstrations
President Hassan Rouhani is considered a moderate, but he and the Iranian revolution have not been able to fulfill the aspirations of the Iranian people. Recently Iran was rocked by demonstrations against the Iranian government because of a scarcity of jobs and poor economy which had lead to an unprecedented rise in prices. These demonstrations gave a chance to women also to come forward and protest against the religious policies of the government notably the compulsory wearing of headscarves and Hijab.
The Iranian police have got into the act and arrested 29 women for defying the law to cover one's head. Women in Iran feel that this law is not only archaic but restrictive and should be annulled. The government as usual in a cover up has blamed the women's agitation on "foreign powers". It required great courage for a girl to come out in public and agitate by removing her headscarf. Yet the unthinkable has happened and there are photographs available that bring out girls and women removing and waving the head scarfs For all his faults, the Shah believed in equality of women and had enforced laws that gave equal rights to women of Iran.
A Terrible Place
Since 1979, Iran is a terrible place to live in. The charm of the Iranian revolution has soured and the economy is stagnant.Restrictive laws are also passed and many so-called ''enemies of the state" including young boys of 13 to 14 have been executed. Iran is also fomenting trouble in the Middle East and by proxy fighting a war with Saudi Arabia for dominance in the Islamic world. This is a far cry from the days of the Shah, who was an ally of the United States. That was his downfall. Perhaps in case, he had steered a moderate course, he may have survived. The Iranian revolution was a dream for equality and a which would be "free" in the real sense. It has not happened and repressive measures are common. The economy is also stagnant, as Iran spends millions of dollars in supporting Shia revolutionary movements abroad. With lack of jobs and rising prices, the dam burst with the recent riots against the government all over Iran is an extension of this.
President Trump is aware of the deep discontent and has for that reason extended the waiver for the Nuclear Deal. Iran would be put to greater hardship in case the US rescinds the nuclear agreement. In case sanctions are imposed again, the Iranian economy will nose dive and bring greater hardship to the people. The simmering discontent has come out in the open and women for long repressed in Iran also came out in the open asking for an end to discriminatory laws like wearing the Hijab. The authorities have clamped down but as we say the Genie has come out of the bottle and apart from bloodshed, I wonder how this agitation by women of Iran can be contained.
Future
Iranian women are coming out into the open against the hijab. The Times of India has reported that it was a sight to watch young women remove their scarves and wave them in the open market. In a closed Islamic society this requires courage. It's not like India ( we should take pride in it) where freedom has a meaning. In Iran like in Saudi Arabia, there is the religious police that has special powers. This police enforces "Islamic traditions " and laws. What Islamic tradition is nobody has defined. It is an amorphous content enunciated by some Mullahs. The Islamic scriptures do not mention about burka or hijab. It only mentions dressing modestly. This is again open to interpretation.
Sooner than later the Iranian revolution will have to change and the repressive regime removed. A regime that has a different set of laws for women and men is an anachronism in the 21st century. But it is something that is not going to happen overnight. Reagan had referred to Iran as part of the "Axis of Evil". One can't help agreeing with him. Especially when we get reports of young boys being executed as counter-revolutionaries and keeping women suppressed. Is this the freedom from the Shah of Iran which everybody yearned for ?. He seems to appear in a better light now.

suni51 created new article The magic of thinking big- Mantra of Success.
They Lost Before Trying
Let us accept the truth that when we reach to a certain age then only we realize the reasons of our failures. And the reasons of our failures were certainly not those hard working colleagues those grabbed opportunities available for everyone. Or if we thought our bad luck was reason behind our failure that will perhaps be the worst excuse. How can anyone achieve success based on his luck is hard to understand for me but as far as I am concerned I always thought hard work, strong willpower, punctuality and how to reach on top were the key features of all successful people.
Most people know these points but some people understand this point only after they fail on more than their allotted quota of failures. I said allotted because everyone does not succeed on every single time but he fails on certain occasions but that is natural and very much human as no one can succeed on all occasions but beyond that it indicates lack on your part. However, the people those think late about their failures cannot go back in time so they have no choice left but to regret their mistakes.
Thomas Woodrow Wilson the American academician and President always said that if you wish to touch the sky then raise your level of efforts, at least that’s what he meant. But the fact that it’s only you that know what will help you grow or what will help you the most. After all, you are the best judge of your own destiny. And finally it’s up to you to choose the path that will work for you.
It’s a common knowledge and nobody feels surprised anymore seeing people that started their career with almost similar qualifications, age and opportunities working in same organization but in different capacities for obvious reason the ones with better vision, more working capacity and better planning of career reached where they wanted to. The rest who had no belief in their own capacities or accepted defeat even before trying were left behind.
You can learn from achievers
What I did during last year from June onwards was motivating professionals in the same company where I worked as marketing manager. I tried my best for encouraging people to learn something new every day. I have been trying to motivate them be go- getter for the company. I have been tiring to send the point home that motivation from outside is as important as self motivation.
One can learn a lot from someone who has already touched the peaks of success in his career. After all we read biographies of great people for this very purpose. Every person willing to become successful in his life tries to grab as many tips as possible from each and every source he can think about.
If you read the book written by Carl Ransom Rogers the American psychologist and one of the founders of the humanistic approach to psychology, ‘Counseling and Psychotherapy’ you will reach to a single conclusion which says, ‘the story of the success can never be a one liner but the result of many failures’.
We can look at Newton as the best example of success and failures. He was born in a poor family, failed in many exams. He was even expelled from Cambridge but he reached to one of the highest positions in the field of physics. So, one can easily learn from people who were not born intelligent but they tried their best to achieve their target.
Professor Howard, another American writer and dedicated philosopher said something similar, ‘If you’re not unwilling to learn or suffering from overconfidence about your own abilities, you must read biographies of great people of your field as well people from other fields’. The conclusion of this post is that you have too little time and there is lot to be done so why not take to the proven path.
Work is more important
My boss is a perfectionist and is a great fan of Martin Luther King. Anyone entering in his cabin can see what Martin Luther said about perfection “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michael Angelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, 'Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”
My boss, the CEO of a big electronic manufacturing company takes pride telling everyone about his initial days of career that he started as a door to door salesman giving his best before finding a job in a multinational and later starting his own company 30 years ago. I am really so impressed with his way of doing things in a perfect ethical business manner. I like most of his decisions that he takes with the intention to give his best to every project that he plans and expects the same from his employees.
As a matter of principle, we should put our best efforts for the job assigned to us and that is only possible if we take our work religiously considering it as part of our work culture. During my initial career days I frequently travelled to Russia and I was impressed what I heard about Leo Tolstoy. I read many of his books but what impressed me more when someone told me about an incident that he did not mind keeping the money someone paid him for carrying his baggage.
I quoted Tolstoy just for an example that shows a person like him born in a rich family never considered any job as small but they knew the importance of work. Most renowned and famous people endorse the fact that the work they considered small turned out to be milestones later in their lives. It would be worth quoting David J. Schwartz at this point the writer of book ‘The magic of Thinking Big’. He says that thousands of people commit suicide every year considering their jobs was small or did not come good to their expectation. They punish themselves because they feel small and ashamed of their jobs.
Conclusion
We shall have to understand the value of our work keeping this in our mind that no work is small or big but the way you execute your job matters the most. Just find the ways you can do your work better that will make you feel proud. In fact no work is small but how you think about it or do it is important.

suni51 created new article Critics are your best friends.
But why I am so sarcastic then?
I fail to understand that why people just don’t understand this whole generation affair when they decide to classify it in different categories. According to them children these days belong to different categories starting from ‘A’ and ending at ‘Z’.
I am myself a member of this generation and wouldn't like to be identified as one who belongs to any such categories. Being a little naughty doesn't qualify ‘Z’ or me for category ‘Y’ I am literate (As much I know) Male - little too aged, (That is not my fault) I work full time (Lucky me).
By the way, I have played outside as a child and have well-staked values that I intend to teach my children and grand children. I will see that next generation is raised so no one brands them in category ‘loners’. Maybe we should stop trying to blame generations, when it’s just few people who annoy you.
Sometimes I feel like I am living in the past maybe 30 to 40 years before I was born. No, it is not like I am living ‘80s or even in ‘70s but in World War-2 era. Check the facts if you don’t believe me.
We are the same country that hasn't changed its ways of how it utilize its deposits of coal and other minerals perhaps largest in the world and yet won’t move away from use of fossil fuels. We are still the same country that hasn't changed or upgraded its rail signaling system since these were installed during the rule of British 70 to 100 years before.
I am worried about my internet which is so slow some times, using the same cables when even the poor countries have switched to fiber optic internet for long time now. I hope we would soon wake up in 2015 one fine morning.
Or why I am being so critical?
I think love and hate are directly related to each other and some may even say that you can love someone whom you hate at the same time.
Is that really true or possible? Let me explain if you’re unable to understand this logic! Yes, you are right when you say - Just how can I love someone whom I hate deep down in my heart?
Sometimes I want to go mad at someone whom I truly love but he criticizes me openly and that too in front of others. Funny, isn’t it? But should we call it hate? Let’s look at this with a different angle I guess.
I don’t think I would never begin loving someone all of a sudden whom I really hate unless of course I am pretending. Or making things look so or maybe I’m in the process of trying to trick him.
Now, I am confused, or I think I don’t know much about it so quit thinking about it at this point. This is not worth discussing here.
There is nothing I can do with my online friends though because I can’t look in their eyes. If they make me angry I have to face them the way they are. However if this happens when I am offline, I leave things to your imagination.
I certainly do not want any one in my list of friends who pretends to be one of my well-wishers but in fact they are not. I would not mind someone on my list of friends who is my critic though. Okay I am looking forward for your opinion in this matter.
Is it my frustration?
I heard one of my friends renting about his frustration early in the morning when we met in the walking area of the park. He is not a whining type guy but he was really so upset today that I could not overlook him but decided to hear the reason of his disappointment. We sat in the remote corner of the park where no visitors generally go so early in the morning. He told me in detail about his stories which were related to his property and behavior of his son which was nothing new in our society but if we talk in individual terms, it’s a great problem for the ones who face them.
Frustration is a common problem and most of us suffer from it and the people with utmost positive mindset are no exceptions. Frustration is natural and common and you cannot avoid it but what you can certainly avoid is that you should not allow frustration to make you a permanent victim. People suffering from depression display patterns of abnormal behavior and that singles out them from normal people. The truth is if you let the frustration take over you the stage comes where there is no way out.
People that suffer from frustration or feel they are victim of personal disorder suffer from negative thoughts and sit idle doing nothing but I would like to mention Tallis Gomes at this point. Tallis is a Brazilian youngster who developed a Taxi finder App when he could not manage to find a taxi even after waiting for hours. In fact he found a way to fight with his frustration and did something creative.
All the people those go through such situations and come out of their desperation state will tell you that during the period when you’re stuck in such a position let the situation take its course. Your life will be back to normal within sometime because your wisdom and mind help take care of your physical or mental problems and succeed in the end.
Conclusion- Ability to adjust with everyone with no questions asked
I am not ashamed to accept that I feel envious to the people who are popular among their friends, relatives and people in their social circle. No one says no for an answer if they ask to do anything for them but feel obliged rather. I often look at myself and wish I knew what would be the basic qualities that I should add to my own qualification to match with their skills.
I think all such persons have one basic quality that stands them apart from rest of us is there quality to adjust each and everyone even if they have very few things in common. They never ask any question neither they refuse anyone when it comes to helping others and that’s what they get in return as well. It’s probably their ability to adjust with everyone without any questions asked.
“The fact that your most happy moments are the ones that you share with others and your most painful moments are the ones that you faced being alone”, no one but I said this. (I hope it will be quoted when I will be no more in this world).
“The quality of ability to adjust with everyone with no questions asked”. There is no doubt about the fact that almost all the problems could be solved with our social activities. If a person knows how to be friendly with good social relation there is nothing that will stop him reaching to the top of his career. On the contrary people with strained relations, not willing to mix up and behaving too proudly face failure, depression and discomfort in most case.
I am a corporate worker with background in human resources to some level and know the fact that a large number of employees that lost their jobs in the industry for this particular reason, they were unable to cope with the social environment of the industry and not because they did not know their job or had no proper qualification.

suni51 created new article Extra willingness to do better and reach to the top.
Best is not their best
I try my best doing things in a right way, as per rules and as expected of me but most of us do the same. But, sometimes I feel that doing everything in an organized way it never lets rest our minds at peace as it keeps suggesting something or the other. Then trying to give our better we keep trying newer methods and never feel satisfied despite our best efforts.
The question here is, ‘is it wrong to do things better?’ The answer is simple, do what you can do for improvement of work quality but it should come naturally and not with a feeling of unworthiness toward your own doings. It should not be at the cost of your own mental peace. In fact your thoughts, mind and consciousness make a perfect combination is the mantra for your over all power and betterment.
They want to do better
There is one more point; the extra spirit of doing better is another reason of restlessness for people having great working capacity, knowledge and willingness with all their might and motivation. Such people always do better than others. They are ‘never satisfied’ type people that can find fault even in the best they did. They are the sort of people who find something to worry even when there is nothing to worry.
Actually people try to take control over the unknown situations thinking about future situation just in case they could not do all the right things expected of them and lose their mental peace. The situation arises if a person is suffering from the feeling of insecurities but that does not help his cause rather sends him in a state when he cannot concentrate on anything and lost in the jungle of uncertainties.
If you ever feel you are one of them, you should ask a simple question from yourself- Are you putting extra pressure on yourself or trying to do something which is beyond your capacity? Trying to do everything which is beyond your control is like not believing in the power of universe.
Do it with all your might
In fact, one could work all through his life wishing all wonderful things in his life but the only way to get them is to work for them in a systematic way. But then a very simple question comes to mind, what is this talk about the right way or systematic method?
Here are two points that should help anyone willing to achieve success in life. The first one is if what is important or NOW. Or if it is really as important that it should be on your priority list? And if it’s not then do what needs your immediate attention.
And once you have decided your priorities and started working on them do not leave that job unless you have finished it. The same is also applicable to whatever you’re doing at any given point of time. If you are at work, just be there. It’s important to be there unless the job is fully done.
You must now that we have certain fixed duties in our life which come in the list of our priorities to perform at your best or to work with integrity or to raise your children with all your capability. All these things are your responsibilities and fall in the list of your priorities.
You know we have a life to live and it will give us a different experience at every step. You should never forget that you will see changes at different points of your life but you cannot avoid completing your duties.
I don't know how much do you agree when someone says ‘I go on living even if have problems that I face in my life. Maybe I have certain fears, sadness, and other problems but I have hopes and dreams too.’
Most people tend to feel that they are talented, caring, smart and very intelligent and they have certain great things going at right pace going for them. But the truth is we all have our weaknesses and if you ask me then I have no hesitation accepting the fact that I have learned to live with all my flaws, qualities and talents.
At what price?
I know many people who got everything whatever they wanted to including good salary package, luxury car and big house but not all of them are satisfied. They are finding life meaningless and feeling emptiness inside them because they have reached to the conclusion that they have got their success at the cost of something which was costlier compared to what they got in return. In fact, they paid too high a price for their physical achievements.
Perhaps they felt that they had sacrificed their relations, friends and the time for reaching to the top of the world or achieving their ambitious targets but they found themselves standing there alone. Setting all about your ambitious objects is nothing wrong but not thinking about your relations is as important but they forgot about this crucial aspect while trekking rapidly towards the top. Although they were not the only people who reached to the top but even those who reached there did not see anyone around because they were competing with each other.
Make your priorities right
The fact is when you work with an aim keeping your priorities right then you act in entirely different way. But to act properly you have to keep many things in mind which may sound funny to the persons looking at higher goals but these small points will save them from disappointments in the later stage. For instance, answer a simple question- how would you differentiate in between being alone or feeling of loneliness. In fact, you need your personal space but you certainly do not need loneliness.
If you ask me I would explain the meaning of being ‘alone’ as being with yourself and not feeling of loneliness. People who know the art of living alone know the beauty of meeting people too. And such people are altogether different from people who are lonely as I told you earlier that lonely is different from being alone. The people who have reached to the top but are lonely come in the category who have no one to share their happiness and sad moments with.
But did they really sacrifice their relations, friends and the time for reaching to the top of the world or achieving their ambitious targets? I think they only thought so or maybe they were only partially right!

suni51 created new article Is it really so hard to cope with opposite views?.
Logical and Illogical
Some of us in trying to prove our point of view logical find ways that have no logics. Now, what is logic and who invents them? Logic is something that shows your understanding something with valid reasons and effect and you can say science and Math are some of the examples which show your logic. As we know for sure that Science and Math provide proven facts and solutions of all the problems they deal with although there are chances that further studies may change the facts but you can only consider it as my logic into the matter.
But if we talk about illogicalities, that is nothing but to assert to be untrue or by saying the things in opposition of what the facts are. Illogical in itself contradicts the facts or beliefs which have already established firmly. However, logic and illogical is a matter of great discussion which is going on ever since the very existence of this world and also considered a great weapon of self defense. However it's better to monitor all the points in question very carefully instead of speaking casually about anything without any reasoning. There is no alternate of reaching to a decision unless you agree to logics.
It’s also a proven fact that even during our normal discussions we experience logic is always being contradicted with falls facts. The discussion is way of understanding points of different persons but it loses it meaning if illogical views take over the reasoning and the situation turns out to be a tensed battle of words. As they say, it’s hard to cope with opposite views and especially so when there is no logic in the views as they find a new definition for illogical views to prove their point. Unless we have the power of molding our views and accept the truth which needs lot of courage and self confidence, the chances of reaching to a right decision are remote.
It’s not Lifestyle but Mindset
I don't understand what's so wrong with western lifestyle or their culture apart from different people has different ways of living their life. However, if you ask me about my observation I think, we have not seen the positive sides of their cultures despite adapting many of their lifestyles. Maybe some of our concerns are reasonable to some extent but what would say if you wear the same clothes they wear or try to live the same life they live and still chose to say their lifestyle is not for you.
Would you believe me if I tell you that according to several surveys conducted among different communities living in different states of India within different age groups almost 5o% of those participated would ‘sure’ like to go the Western countries to work, 30% of them were ‘ready’ to go if a proper opportunity came their way and 10% were not sure if they ‘qualified’ but only 5-6% said they would prefer to stay back at home.
If you ask me the Indians feel about what they imagine about the lifestyle in west despite having come down in last decade or so still better than here and if given a chance they would prefer to go there and start their life in a western country. And that’s very much evident from the living style of corporate culture which is almost similar to that in western countries. I strongly believe that unless we will take matters in our own hands there will be changes in our lifestyle. Government has a role to play but only when supported by its people.
However, despite our present generations have taken to western habits but what we lack seriously is their good habits. We take only that what gives us pleasure but leave that will make us sacrifice some of our facilities. One of the examples here is the ‘Odd-Even’ formula imposed by Delhi State government on trial basis. People tend to believe that the entire responsibility lies with government to make things right for them and they have no role to play in the process of clean and green living.
The main reasons - Body structure and mindset
I firmly believe that man has lost his ability to do anything rationality and cannot do a thing based on its accordance with reason or logically. I was having a discussion on this topic with one of my friends who reacted rather funnily by saying that the chances of being a man rational are remote and he explained the reasons too. According to him the mindset and body structure of the human are the main reasons for his inability which prevents him thinking in a right direction?
He went on proving his point by saying a man has two eyes, one of them is he uses for watching at self interests the other one for searching the ways he can use to reach the targets that fulfill his self interest. The man has two ears, one for listening what could prove beneficial for him and the other one for listening to someone or something as unimportant or bad or weaknesses of others.
Man has just one tongue but he uses it for sycophancy especially for the ones who provide him maximum profit. The man has stopped using his tongue for the real purpose of praising the worthy but praising the people whom he finds beneficial for him even if he never stops criticizing them behind their backs.
My friend did not stop at that but he announced with his full belief that man is the most self-centered and lusty person of the world who feels happy seeing others in pain. My friend went a step forward when I asked about rationality in man. He said that only the nature has rationality and treats everyone in a same manner.
I agreed to him but his explanation about natural rationality was even more dangerous. He said when the humans face the natural calamities there is no difference as it sees no difference in between caste, creed or color but spares none that comes in its way. I wanted to tell him that a flower blossoms in a rich man’s garden as well in front of poor man’s hut and without any discrimination.

suni51 created new article To be a successful person- Act as per the situation.
Money and Success Connection
When you listen to someone asking a simple question that why everyone wants to be a successful person in his desired field how do you feel? I am sure you will give him a look with more questions in your mind but with a simple answer, “A successful parson stands out of the crowd. He looks satisfied and respected by everyone. And everyone wants to follow him”.
However being successful is not the same for everyone but the value of success depends entirely on your own. All successful people have their own standards and go by them. What I could find high success rate could only be a meager that is lacking in quantity or quality for you. If you permit me to use my own words for what Hitler thought regarding success, success is the ultimate in deciding ‘Good from Bad’.
I must accept that this is not the right term to ascertain good from bad or vice versa but in my views a person in this age lacking in richness or strength does not qualify to come in the category of successful people. Every person has a particular quality in his personality that makes him successful and reason of attraction for others.
Let’s accept it that a person is not born with success but it depends entirely on his personal beliefs, his mindset, how he looks at the life, how he treats others. One has to earn it rather than success coming to him without putting any efforts for it.
One has to put lots of efforts to reach to top of his desired goals and the ones who start everything seeing that others have achieved but give up midway have no chance reaching anywhere. Then there is another misunderstanding that needs to be cleared at this point. Money has nothing to do with success as thousands of rich people are not successful but millions of successful people have no money.
Here is a simple example of practical professional-
Act as per needs of the situation
Do we really know how to act according to circumstances or we act same everywhere without knowing the situation or ground realities of a particular place where we work. The ones those adapt the realities have far greater chances for achieving success compared to the more talented ones in some cases.
Here is an example of a great and popular motivational speaker in corporate world. He undoubted had earned name and fame as a motivational speaker at seminars and official events around the world. He wanted to spread his thoughts among the common people of the country so he seriously planned first such seminar in a village for a week long session and invited every villager.
He spoke in front of a small gathering everyday for six days regularly. The seventh and final day was colder than six previous days due to rain so the speaker thought the chances of visitors coming to attend his lecture were remote and he did not make any arrangements for the invitees. However, one of his regular visitors, a farmer from the nearby area turned up at fixed time.
The motivational speaker was surprised to see him and told him that considering the wet weather conditions and cold he was not expecting anyone so he did not make any arrangements and suggested that they could skip the class as making all the arrangements for one person was not worthwhile. But the farmer politely told him, ‘I am an ordinary person sir. I go to feed bird everyday without counting them. For me, it makes no difference if there is 1 bird or 100’.
The speaker felt ashamed and made all the arrangements as he usually did every day. He cleaned and set all the tables, switched every light on and started the lesson. At the end of the class he thanked the farmer and asked if everything was fine. The farmer said in a very cool manner, ‘sir, I’m a simple person with simple knowledge. I feed 100 birds if I see 100 and feed 1 if I see 1 but never give all my food to that only bird.
Our great motivator now knew the fact of life and how the things worked in real life. In fact, it’s not limited to our duties but we should do things according to current situation.
Money Increases Your Bargaining Power
I have full trust in ‘Horatio Alger myth’ formula and from "rags to riches" type success stories because all that is absolutely possible. I am directly responsible for marketing of my company and also sharing my past experience. I am always telling young professionals all about ethics of the profession and motivating for better results.
I was asked to attend a meeting last Saturday held at residence of our director (marketing). I remember our director telling to the senior managers responsible for marketing and sales to increase the output of the company. I liked the way he kept his emphasis on motivating senior marketing managers and promising incentives indirectly to them rather than giving routine instructions and warnings.
I have always believed that the easiest way to achieve our targets is by increasing our own output. Rests of the things come on their own. The output of a person increases as soon as he asks a simple question from himself ‘how to increase my output?’ And trust me if you assure them by providing other incentives it works faster and I agree many people have improved their performance by this process.
I have always felt it was possible improving young professionals working in various departments giving them a small dose of motivational lectures. Incidentally, I am working as a motivational lecturer in the same company where I used to work as marketing manager. I find best motivational examples during all our motivational sessions giving them different examples.
And I have read this quote but I don’t exactly remember where but I entirely agree with the person that said, maybe money can't buy everything, but it improves your bargaining position. May be he did not use the same words because I am not writing this by reading his quote but I can only say he was right, money certainly improves your bargaining power. My director certainly knows his job.
And having said so much about love for money I would like to say this to conclude, I have read this somewhere,
“Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go- Mother Teresa.

suni51 created new article Let's make the world greener.
I am hopeful despite all the exploitation
My question is from the younger generation that can remember the beginning of this century or they were old enough to remember their surroundings in the year 1999. Do you still recall those days when the world around us used to be a little greener lacking vegetation than what we see today? I am sure most of you, barring few exceptions will answer in affirmative.
I am looking at the fast changing surroundings with wide open eyes, I can remember the road that lead to my parental home merely 14 km away from my present residence had lots of trees, one or two story houses with large boundaries now converted into multistoried apartment houses. The big field behind the local market where we used to play cricket vanished and now converted into a big nursing home and a full-fledged market.
Water scarcity- A serious problem
We do not see any ponds anywhere in almost all villages in our surrounding rural areas but all of them being converted into housing societies, small or big markets, bus stands, grain and fruit markets etc. I think we have overburdened the land to the limit of torturing it and the result is for everybody to see. But if something is obvious that is change in weather which cannot be ignored any further but will have to be dealt on priority basis before it’s too late.
We witnessed some of the strangest incidents in our area in last couple of years. I hope the indecisive era we saw in last decade or especially in last couple of years will not go on forever and there will be positive changes in coming years. If the present trend of changing weather so abruptly having many sudden changes from hot to cold and cold to hot any indication that is sure sign of the serious problem that we shall be facing in near future.
Global Warming
The agriculture sector throughout the world is suffering worst due to global warming since the beginning of the second half of last century and if the trend continues there are chances it will further reduce. According to researchers the agricultural output was worst hit during 1960-2005 reducing the total production at least by 10%. And the corps like maize, wheat and rice topped the list of produces most hit due to hot weather especially drought in several areas.
The global warming has hit developed countries especially North America, Europe and Australia more than under developed countries. The farmers had to sustain loss of crops due to drought during this period to the tune of 20% in the areas stated above and countries in Africa and Latin America the losses were close to 10%.
The difference in loss of produce is according to agricultural methods as the farmers in developed countries grow in larger areas. Farmers in under developed countries sustain comparatively lesser loss as they grow various produces in smaller areas so it’s all about farming methods of developed and under developed countries and quantity of losses.
The reduction in output of agricultural products is bound to have its effects on prices as we have already seen in the sharp increase in world market in recent times. If the situation further deteriorates the chances are the world grain market goes up by 20% in next 2 years.
The most recent studies on El Nino which is associated with warm ocean water in the central and east-central equatorial Pacific Ocean show that it has disturbed the atmosphere to a great extent. In the year 2014 a climate scientist Nick Bond found out that blobs have increased the temperature of ocean 2 to 7 degrees Fahrenheit (average 5 degrees Fahrenheit). The scientists have named it as sun blob which is causes growing poisonous weeds in hot water that will further increase problem due to lesser sea-food availability.
Increasing Population and Deserts
It’s hard to believe but according to reports of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) greenery or fertile land of more than 100 countries is under the threat of increasing sand, which is affecting the life of 1 billion inhabitants of those areas. And this effect is apart from existing deserted areas of one third of Asia and half of African countries. The UNEP has specifically pointed out at the reasons behind this, the increasing population in these countries, their increased needs of food and urbanization reducing the forest areas.
Conversion of farms and landscapes to areas where there was greener (Desertization) taking place mostly in Asian countries in a very slow process which is defined as the irreversible extension of desert land forms and landscapes to areas where there was greener until sometime before. For Example Thar Desert in Rajasthan is extending towards other states of India. In India alone 30% fertile land is losing its fertility and almost 24% of that affected area is around Thar Desert itself.
Thar Desert also known as the Great Indian Desert which was spread over in 196150 square kilometers by the year 1995 has increased to 208110 square kilometers by now. Let’s have a look at the total desert area in India, out of total of 328.7 square kilometers land area 105 million square kilometers is already in deserted category and 82.1 million is on the verge of slow conversion of Desertization which means that one fourth of fertile land will be further converted into deserts over the period of next 100 years or so.
Conclusion
The increasing population of our part of the world has added problems to already existing problems of pollution and other environmental changes due to increased needs of agricultural lands, too much abstracting of water for various purposes. Keeping the present situation in minds we have no alternative left but to return to old methods of preserving the water and depending upon natural resources of water like ponds and wells instead of abstracting water from the land and making the earth dry. The increase in deserts can cause extinction of many species including humans from the earth. Let's come forward and make the world greener or it will be too late and our future generations will never forgive us.

The Incident at the Akashdeep Estates - Part 2
As they came inside after having seen the Inspector off , Anita sat on the sofa lost in thought both about the past and the present ..
“A penny for your thoughts Madame “
“That is too little, because my thoughts are far more precious “ said Anita
“Are you thinking of what the inspector said “ asked Rohit
“ He has a point there you know, we both would benefit from your writings because I don’t know many of the smaller incidents that took place before the murder within the estate ..
“Yes and…what else ?”
“ About your own feelings when you first met me and …
“ Rohit dear , I am supposed to focus on the murder and not on our love story !”
“ But they are interconnected at some level, are they not?”
Anita looked at him pleadingly ..
“Rohit, you are making this even more complicated for me ..Having agreed to do so, I am not sure how to write and where to start ..”
“Very simple…just start from the beginning ”
And that’s how their conversation on the issue had ended because the door- bell rang just then and it was their neighboring girl Raksha , who had come to speak about spending the night at their place while Rohit was away.
Later at night after dinner , with Rohit on the bus , on his way to meet his elder sister Vidya , Anita looked into the small guest bed room where Raksha the neighboring girl was already asleep.
She switched off the hall and Kitchen lights, bolted the doors and came into her room with a note book and pen.
She thought “Rohit said start from the beginning , but where and which exactly was the beginning ? was it the time I met Rohit or was it even before that ? the day I arrived at Akashdeep or was it even before that when Mahesh anna came to visit us ? "
“ I will have to start with Maheshanna’s visit since that’s when things began to change in my life and also to a certain extent at Akashdeep and all the people who were connected with it “
Having decided Anita took out her note book and wrote at the top of the page “The Incident at Akashdeep Estate. ” she thought “ I will not call it murder because the word murder brings it down to the level of a barbaric crime which it definitely was not”
She also decided that she would write her story in the first person since it was her personal account and as such would sound much more natural when narrated in the first person. Having decided that , Anita took a trip down memory lane and the events began to unfold one by one but she decided that she had to put them in order before beginning to pen them down..
As she let her mind wander, memories came flooding one after the other overwhelming her and she realsied that her life had completely changed in the past two years.
Anita’s Narrative
I come from a lower middle class family , having lost my father two years before the incident took place, and I got involved with it. My mother received my father’s pension which was barely enough to take care of our monthly expenses since there were five of us living in the house. Other than myself , my younger brother who was studying in junior college and my mother, my grandfather too lived with us and my atthe , father's widowed sister who had always been part of our household since she was very close to my father and all of us. I had completed my graduation in our local college and later with difficulty, managed to find a part time clerical post with a law firm. The salary that I received , though small helped us a lot. Life went on without any major incident until Mahesh anna visited us .
How I became part of the incident is quite another story. It started with Mahesh anna’s unexpected visit to our house one afternoon in the month of October. I have to tell a few words about Mahesh anna , who was a distant relative of my father. His parents had died when Mahesh anna was barely out of college and still in his early twenties , after which the entire responsibility of looking after the vast estate fell on his shoulders. He lived with his father’s sister Rohini and her son Arvind , both of who helped Mahesh a great deal in his day to day dealings in looking after the estates and the household consisting of a cook , a live in maid , a daily help and estate workers.
Mahesh anna visited our city every now and then to attend weddings and other social gatherings since most of our relatives lived here. More importantly Mahesh anna was married to my cousin, Shalini , who was my father’s sister’s only daughter . She was very beautiful and also very arrogant because of it , being an only child was pampered to the extent , where she had no scruples when it came to fulfilling her own desires and wants . I am probably sounding very biased , but I am being frank with my opinion and this comes straight from my heart . Although, I had very little interaction with Shalini or Shalu as she was called during our growing years , I also felt that she hardly noticed my existence since she was totally absorbed in herself. Before she completed her graduation she had several suitors who were ready to fall at her feet and Mahesh anna was one amongst the many. Shalini and her family were understandably thrilled with his proposal and they were married soon after. So, Shalini lived at Akashdeep Estates with Mahesh and his family, probably lording over everyone.
However, we were all pleasantly surprised to see Mahesh anna visit us at home that day . He was ever so nice and when amma and atthe coaxed him to have lunch with us , he sat on the floor along with all of us and thoroughly enjoyed the simple lunch consisting of rice, sambhar ,salad and papad. We had always thought of Mahesh anna as a very reserved person but that day we felt that we had misjudged him..

Indian show in Davos World Economic Forum
Will India be the next engine for development that again is not a mere slogan but the topic of world economic forum going on in Davos, Switzerland? There is no doubt that India has all the possibilities of economical development at a very rapid rate therefore, Indian government is keeping its hopes in personal investments coming from each and every quarters.
Meanwhile, expectations are already very high for investment that will give boost to the industries as all the efforts are under process for establishing in startups which will need lot of money in the beginning. There is some doubts in the mind of investors but the investors that know about India and its democracy know the Indian democracy is nothing short of ‘free for all, but it works in the end.
Most Indians support the way present government working style despite the fact the scenario might look chaotic to the opposition parties but that is natural as Indian democracy works very much in that particular fashion. We can’t force our opposition toe the line of government even if they know that government policies are going in right direction.
Let’s come back to the Indian growth story, there is no doubt about the fact that we are slow in certain fields but the way is wide open and we are moving in right direction. If India as expected focuses on getting funds from all sources especially foreign direct investment as equal partners in Indian growth journey there are possibilities that India can achieve a double digit growth rate.
India with changed policies in industrial sector is showing signs of stability which is a crucial point for foreign investors to go ahead with their planned projects. Indian banking sector is showing excellent growth rate by adopting new technologies. The latest theme for the development is focused on industrial growth with a perfect combination in between banks and industry for future stability.
Home Equipment and Appliances in India
It would sound like boasting but the fact that India is among the top countries with most number of domestic equipment consumers. Indian domestic manufacturers are not only producing large number of equipments and appliances but producing them with in competition with world’s best manufacturers. Companies like Super Domestic, TTK Prestige, Bajaj Electric, Hawkins, Havells India, Siemens, Crompton Greave, Godrej, Samsung India, Voltas, Usha and now Patanjali etc are doing a wonderful job providing quality appliances for Indian consumers and for export purpose.
Indian manufacturers took a hint from their foreign counterparts after the independence and soon entered in collaboration with different foreign companies but we have several indigenous companies playing the role of leaders among gadget manufacturers. If we go by the recent surveys the domestic appliances refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, kitchen chimney, microwave oven are fast reaching to maximum Indian households at a brisk rate and refrigerator still remains the most sold appliance of all these equipments.
India and Indian manufacturing sector has improved a lot in last couple of decades. For instance, an Indian couple living aboard introduced a bread making appliance two years before which became an instant hit and now being sold in large numbers by different manufacturers. The story of Indian manufacturing sector began post independence but Indian government kept large manufacturers out of domestic appliances sector but kept this limited to smaller and cottage industry sector with a maximum investment limit. The appliances like ceiling fans, heaters, Irons and table fans were reserved for small industry sector only.
The bigger groups like Bajaj and Usha were selling these products under their own brand name with their strict quality control but when the limit was taken off later and the bigger players like Birla and Tata entered into the field of manufacturing, the Indian domestic appliances scenario changed entirely. Now our appliances have become smarter, consume lesser electricity and work according to need of the consumer. For instance the washing machines manufactured a decade back had a single speed rotation but the modern technology used now let the washing machine do everything on automatic basis from water level to the drying point. Overall the Indian appliances and equipment has reached to a point where we can compete with international market.
India’s poverty and facts
India is the country with diverse cultural values is altogether different country that is growing at rapid rate but there is so much to see and learn for people coming from distant countries expecting to see poor and poverty. True, some of these are facts but there is another India story which one witness only when he visits India.
Visiting India will change some of your values and opinions. People from all over the world come here to see snake charmers, poverty, beggars and of course thinking they can travel in a distant country for one fifth of cost compared to other rich countries. But when they arrive here and see the rich culture and joy of life they change their opinion.
Tourism- A potential contributor
India has so much to offer for visitors that come here for longer trips and visit places which showcase the rich heritage of this ancient country. If you please excuse me for saying so the visitors come here for seeing the richness of this country in true sense they see the real richness in people living a simple life in far flung areas having no modern facilities but inner peace and struggle for a better life but without any complaint whatsoever.
The visitors that come to see the real beauty of India go to see Konark temple, Khajuraho, Ajantha caves, Valley of Flowers and Jammu & Kashmir. They go find it in Dudhsagar Waterfall in Goa, Brackish Lagoons in Alleppey of Kerala and Dhanushkoti Beach in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu state. The travelers who come to see the real India goes to Kaziranga National Forest in Assam, Bhitarkanika Wetland in Kendrapara, Ganges Delta of Haldia, Meadows of Kanha, Coral Reef in Lakshadweep.
India has so much to offer to Nature lovers in Himalayas starting from Hardwar to Kedarnath and Almorah to the Zanskar Valley one of the most beautiful places keeping visitors spellbound. People who come to see real India go to Kerala, the God’s own country, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to see the culture of the land of Rama and Krishna. They go to Delhi to see the glorious Moghul period, Agra to see the monument of love the Taj Mahal. I suggest you to come to India and see what is on the offer that will leave you speechless.

suni51 created new article Walking is good for health: Both mentally and physically.
