National integration
National integration means binding the people of a nation into a single identity. It is a binding which is above all caste, region, and religion and language considerations. India is my country. It is blessed with lush green forests, vast deserts, great oceans, rivers and mountains. Each is more beautiful than the other. Amongst themselves they hold treasure of various animals, plants, birds and fish. Her soil is very fertile. And on it grow wheat, rice, lentils, spices, fruits and other grains. Her mountains contain many medicinal plants. India has vast variety of caste, regions, religions and races. India is the country where people of different communities live together. India is a secular country. In India all religions are equal and all are given equal recognition and protection, whether it is Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism or Jainism. As a secular country India allows its citizens to choose and practice any religion of their choice. Many religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism etc. originated in this great land. India is the largest democracy in the world
India has a vast variety of cultures, and languages. People belonging to different faith live in comparative peace and harmony. But some of us have narrow feelings of regional and communal boundaries. Some of us exploit the emotional, religious and regional sentiments of people to divide them. Each of us thinks himself to be first a Punjabi, Gujarati or Tamilian. None of us thinks himself t is Indian first. Narrow regional interest should be sacrificed in the broader interest of the nation.
India is the largest democracy in the world. Since independence India has an adult franchise. Women have always enjoyed an equal status as men.
In an election a candidate whether a Hindu or a Muslim, Sikh or Parsi can hope to succeed only if he secures the votes of the people of every community and religion. There is no reservation of seats for any community expects the scheduled castes and Anglo- Indians. Similarly, while getting administration in any educational institution religion is no hindrance. In matters of employment also no discrimination can made on the basis of religion. Apart from than all of us have a common heritage, based on equality and mutual respect. Our unity in diversity is unique.
So, national integration is important for any country. It is more important for a country like India which has a vast variety of religions, customs, traditions and languages; it is our moral duty to live together.
Let us sort out our difference amicably and build a strong united India.
