The world has changed in the last decade at a pace unparalleled in the history of mankind. Vast expanses of time and space are being encapsulated in the emerging global village, shrinking space, shrinking time and disappearing borders and linking people's lives more deeply, more intensely, more immediately than ever before.
All the country have their distinctive features, all of them have still more the distinguishing mark. The future generation can do a lot in national integration. It means combining or bringing together all the people in the country into a single whole. It is a sentiment that makes us proud of our heritage and binds all people in one common bond, no matter, what their caste, religion, language and social custom may be.
The massive manpower can do wonders provided the enthusiasm is harnessed for development work. The strength, power, and capability of youth are able to meet any challenge. The youth, who are the future leaders, have a pivotal role to play in the national integration.
Great deal of progress has been achieved in many directions. But it is a pity that the spirit of unity, which had made our people think, and believe that they are one family and one nation, appears to have evaporated. But now fissiparous forces, though held in check, repeatedly raise their ugly heads in one form to other. Now forces of fanaticism threaten to destroy the cherished ideals of one country and one people. Passions are inflamed in the name of language and religion. Regionalism and separatism are threatening to balkanize the country, communal passions are whipped up. Loyalty to caste and community is given priority over devotion to the mother land.
Spirited young men of the new generation can play a great role in the socio-economic regeneration of the society. If the youth is associated in a drive against these practices, the results may be much more satisfactory. If the engines, enthusiasm and idealism of the youth are channelised in the proper way, it will make the task of national intergration easy and the face and future will become brighter.
The aim of youth should be, to put the country on the road to progress and prosperity, to eradicate the ills that afflict the society. And in this stupendous task of ushering in a new era of hope and happiness, everyone has a role to play, distinct and clear cut role, like a clog in a machine.
The need of the hour, therefore, is to realise that, the country is at crossroads, all that visible, is only a passing phase and in the long run, the eternal truth and time tested values will remain there forever, to inspire and guide us, to a happier and prosperous tomorrow. The youth must recall and remember what Douglas Malloch Says
"If you can't be a highway, then just be a trail,
If you can't be the sun, be a star
It isn't by size that you win or you fail, Be the best of whatever you are"
If so, the country will be in safer hands.
Women's Day or more precisely we can say International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated throughout the world on 8th may every year as a mark of tribute and respect to the women fraternity of the world. This day is a great day and every women is proud of it and they are proud too that they are a women. Gone are the days when they are thought to be a weaker sex and people of the society look at them with a sight of pity. Modern women know how to lead their life with their head holding high and fight for their rights.
Rightly so, she is the idol of love, care and sacrifice. She always remains with in one form or the other. Sometimes, she is our mother teaching us all the values of life and showering her love and care on us while at other times she is a sister, teacher, friend, wife or just a colleague. Moreover, she is kind hearted and emotional. At times she remains very cool and fine while at other times she shows great courage at time of crises.
She has come through a long way fighting for her freedom and rights, not to mention, she has faced a lot of harassment and injustice in home and workplaces but still due to her perseverance and talent she achieved a lot of achievements and milestones. She has proved her worth and mettle in every field of our society and work place. History has witnessed a lot of her great deeds and has written her deeds in golden letters which will be heard and read till the universe last and human beings breathe their last breathe.
Without Women this world would not have been a place worth living. She has come down a long way fighting for her rights, freedom and justice and has been so far so successful and we have to accept this fact. She is not someone who has come into this world to let her life waste under the four walls of the house or hut while others capitalise at the expense of her cost.
Now-a-days every nation and society realize this and her importance and consider women as a great resource who given the chance to bloom and grow could achieve what is beyond expectations. In fact, in every nation this day is celebrated with great pomp and glory and some of the nation declare the day as a national holiday while at other nations like India children and husband give gifts to her to honour her and to show her how important she is in their individual lives. Let us stand today in our feet and give her a big salute as a mark of respect for all the pains she took in the past and all the achievements she got till now and wish her all the best for the future.
Walking down the street;
I saw a girl ,in high spirit;
Lovely,cute,beautiful whatever you say;
Neither enough to describe her,nor her play.
Then arrives a *bieberish boy;
In a flash of second,he arrives,
because of his speed,which his bike provides;
The girl greets the guy, Full of zeal for a ride.
But the guy got down.
holded her hands with happiness,
Moved towards a restaurant.
Girls like coffee I guessed,but went totally wrong,
When the pair cheered vodka spirited in sprite.
I paused to watch the play,
Was it love or something else at display?
Don’t make predictions,let me tell;
What exactly happened at the hell.
Can you guess what happened next?
I can’t tell,nor can write any text.
They came after sometime,
But what ?neither was that spirit nor that sprite.
Why did the love vanish?
May be because that indian was English.
The girl was depressed;
Because She was suppressed.
The same night,she decided to quit,
Because her heart had split.
She went on her roof,
Because she felt like a goof.
She was about to jump,
But someone shouted from above.
“look at me,look at me,
Why don’t you love me?
I will never betray you;nor leave you alone;
Try me atleast once.”
She looked above,but declined.
“you are always away,the little sook”
The moon smiled brighter,
Said in a laughter-
“yeah,I can’t meet you,
Nor can I communicate,
Because I am not a sook;
You are the sook ,having a facebook”
Girl got calmed,moon continued-
“love doesnot need care,poor girl,
Nor does it need a mortal,
love is only a feeling,
under which you were not reeling.
Don’t jump,you have to climb,
Love me dear,and try to find.
A day will come when you will meet me,
If your love is true and bright”
The girl got the point;
She looked at the sky,
The moon ,stars were fading;
drops of dew had wet her cloak;
Gentle breeze sweeping ….
It was a gentle morning.
*bieberish- physical appearance like justin bieber
For us to be alive, we need food, water and air. We also need clothes and shelter, which keep us safe from heat, cold wind and rain. Food, water, air clothes and shelter are call basic needs. But, sometimes, need can turn into wants. A want is something that is extra or in excess of a need. It is not required to maintain or sustain life.
While there are only a few limited needs, wants can be endless. For example, we can be happy and healthy with a simple diet of rice, lentils and vegetables. This is all we need to stay alive. By contrast, rich foods, fast food and snacks are all wants. We can do without them.
Similarly, owning a few simple and practical cloths is a necessary. But a cupboard full of clothes is a necessity. But a cupboard full of clothes it represents a want. We can live quite well without rich food, expensive clothes and luxurious houses, jewelry, cars or television. It is much easier to stay healthy and happy when we lead simple life.
So for, we have only spoken of physical needs that keep us alive. But, as humans, we also have minds that can think, create, remember, analyze and be conscious. To work to its fullest capacity, our mind too has certain needs.
Education is one such need. It teaches us many things about the world. It teaches us how to read, write and calculated. Education teaches us to think logically and independently. It makes us grow aware or become conscious. Education gives us discipline, and prepares us for a full, happy, creative and productive life.
Our minds also need to be engaged in doing some useful work throughout our life. This helps us not only to earn a living but also to spend our time gainfully. When we are creative and productive, our mind grows to its fullest extent.
As humans, we also need to belong to a community. We are happy when we have friends and family. It gives us a sense of belonging and security. At the same time, we also need solitude or time alone. Solitude allows us to think about who are and we want to do with our life. A healthy mind needs periods of quiet, and closeness to nature.
In ancient times, human lived close to nature. They grew their own food. The water they drank was clean, and air was fresh.
Today, very few of us grow our own food. We depend on others for it, and sometimes our food is grown in unhealthy conditions. Good drinking water and fresh air are also a scarcity. In many places, people walk for long distance to fetch water. The air we breathe today is highly polluted with factory and automobile smoke. Many people do not have proper food, houses or clothes. Thus, people’s basic needs are not being met in many parts of the world.
There are several reasons why this is so. Chief among them is overpopulation or too many people. When there are so many people in the world, it is difficult for everyone’s basic needs to be met.
The earth’s natural resources such as air, water and soil are not endless and unlimited. They are shrinking all the time because of the pollution caused by human greed, carelessness and lack of common sense. When we exploit, misuse or overuse the earth’s natural resources to feed our endless wants, we endanger the very source of our basic needs.
There is another important reason why basic needs are not met in many parts of the world. This is because of the confusion in people’s minds between needs and wants.
For instance, there are many people in our country who do not get one square meal a day but own a television. This is where education plays a very important role. It is education which helps us distinguish between needs and wants.
