*We must learn to live and work together.
*Every one has a role to play
Ravi and the orange tree
Ravi is a big family member. His grandfather was a land lord. So many fruit trees in his garden.
There was a big orange in the school garden. The children loved the tree as they could play under its shade and eat its fruits. Rai thought that it was the branches alone which gave shade and fruits.
One day, he, along with some other children, cut off a branch from the tree.
Ravi’s mother was very upset when she saw what he had done. She explained that the branch needed the tree. The roots would absorb. Water and the trunk would carry the water to the branch. The leaves on the branch would take in the water and sunlight to prepare food for the plan. The different parts of the tree would work together like a family. Without its family, the branch would dry up and die.
Ravi was ashamed of what had done. He thought about how he would feel if was taken away from is family by someone and given no food or water, just like Ravi needed his family, the branch needed the tree. Ravi understood his mistake and learnt that we all need each other.
None of us can live alone in the world. We need each other. Without the help of the other parts of the tree, the branch would be able to bring forth fruits or even stay alive. Just like each part of a tree is important; each member of a family is important. Each supports the other. Everyone, no mother how big o small, has a role to play. In a happy family, every member helps the other.
*Do your best to fulfill your role and make your family happy.
