Why do we feel unhappy, sometimes, because of circumstances, which affect us? The fact, that the circumstances make us unhappy, is in the fact, the biggest cause of unhappiness. Why do we try to come to terms with the situation which upsets us? Because, deep within ourselves, we know, that the situation is completely right, as it exists, because of its existence, and we need not try to come to terms with the situation. As soon as we come to terms with the situation, as the situation exists, we lose the unhappiness in dealing with the existence. Then, the question may be asked, why do we feel unhappy with any situation, if we do? Perhaps, because we concentrate on the unhappiness, and loose sight of the facts, which make us unhappy. As a result, we might tell ourselves, something which is not true, as we may come to realize later.
We realize, when we tell others something which is not true, do we realize, when we tell ourselves, something which is not true? The moment, we see things as they are, is the moment, we lose our unhappiness over things.
We are unhappy, because we are not truthful with ourselves, just as we are unhappy, that others are not truthful with us. This is the truth of unhappiness. We need not compromise with any situation, because the situation is as it is.
since each person on this earth holds to his/her perceptions and ideas, there is unhappiness. Unhappiness is basically arising from a desire to control or change a situation or person. A lack of acceptance of the person or situation as they are.
See a simple example, nowadays we believe an extrovert person is a healthy person and there is something wrong with an introvert person or who doesn't speak much. A few decades back an extrovert was considered noisy and immature and quieter person was considered wiser and sensible. Both kinds have existed since the time humans arrived on earth, but we continue to pass judgments according to our social perceptions.
