The great French writer and essayist once quoted “When it comes to the matter of money all are in one religion”. Everybody has a single aim of making maximum money in their life. People select so many good and bad ways to earn money and it is an interesting fact that most of them succeed in it. But the question is how many of them are enjoying peace of mind and social security. It is something to be studied why people of same income have different levels of satisfaction.
Who has placed money in such a height that even eagle can’t fly above that. We are coming with bare hand to this world and going with bare hand. So in this short span between life and death why man waste his time running behind money. Sree Ramakrishna paramahamsa is a great person who don’t even wished to touch a coin with his hand. Even prophet Muhammed prays to god that “please help to live like a poor and die like a poor”. These are people who had in depth knowledge of meaning and depth of life. Everybody queries to themselves that what gives them satisfaction, whether poor or richness”.
There is no question that for our survival money is an important factor. It is necessary to fulfill our basic needs. It is a matter of pride to earn money and live in a descent life through proper ways. But problems start when we start believing that our stomach or food are important. Money is only a means of exchange. Selfish thought come to our mind when we start thinking , its only because of our effort we earned the money. The true prosperity if not one’s money but his mind. A millionaire is somebody who is not selfish for money. Somebody ran madly behind money are poor by their mind. Money should be earned sufficient enough to fulfill our basic needs. Don’t run 24 hours behind money.
Learn to live as per your income. If we’re spending 12 rupees towards an income of 10 rupees, then we land up in situations to earn money in what so ever means. These type of people also never be successful in their life. A survey conducted by world bank in South India gave a stunning result that even low income groups spend more than 7 times of their income for wedding functions. As on 2004 Indians are spending 70,000 crores for wedding functions.
We should analyze where we are spending our money. Now a days if one get into a super market, he comes out after paying a huge bill there. Most of the things he bought will be not be used by him in day to day life. We should change from this sort of thinking and start planning our today as well as tomorrow. If one do so his life will be prosper as well as he enjoys peace of mind and satisfaction.
