The journey of a man’s life it has shows six stages.
1) Birth-infancy (babyhood)
2) childhood and boyhood
3) youth (young man)
4) middle age
5) old age (bend body)
6) Death –life end.
Most of the life, man passes as house –holder. He has got to shoulder huge responsibilities. He marries and carries the burden of a family. He has his social duties as a citizen. He has to perform duties towards his motherland. Besides, he has his duties towards God too. So, it is clear that the task of a house –holder is very, very difficult. It is very hard for him to perform all his duties perfectly.
What is the way to become a successful house-holder? Only a proper training of mind and body can make one a perfect house-holder. This training can be had in childhood. He must not leave any bad habit that can harm him or his family in any way. He must have implement faith in god. He should perform his duties well and leave the fruit of his actions to god. He must earn an honest living for his family. He must spend a due share of his earning in the name of God. He must not lie, cheat, steal or rob to earn his livelihood. He must guard against evils like flattery, selfishness and temptation.
Charity, love for all creatures, true prayers and pure life are some essential qualities can be acquired in childhood and boyhood only.
Our parents are in place of God for us. We must serve them and please them. We must be humble and obedient. We must be humble and obedient. We must be naughty in their presence. Service and respect shown to parents is the service and respect shown to god. This habit acquired in childhood goes on with us we grow up. It keeps us goading to serve God. Thus we acquire the qualities of generosity, charity, mercy, sympathy, friendliness and neighborliness. As a result, we can prove to be good house-holders and true citizens. Our teachers are in place of God at school. They teach us so many good things. They enable us to enter life. When we grow up, the teachings of our teachers stand us in good stead. We are able to earn our living and perform other duties as house-holders. So, we must respect our teachers. We must them whole –heartedly. Their blessings are the blessings of God. The habit of showing respect to them leads to the quality of gratefulness in us. It is very necessary for a successful house –holder.
A grateful person is humble and polite. Everybody loves him and helps him when he is in difficulty. His sense of gratefulness to others wins him their loves the more. An ungrateful person, on the other hand, is hated by everybody. He is haughty, harsh and unsympathetic.
The third quality that we must learn is the habit of working hard. A student, who is diligent, learns the value of hard work. He comes to know the dignity of labor. He does not have a sense of false show. He believes in solid work and not is hollow talk. This habit stands a house-holder in good stead. He can work hard for his family. He can face difficulties smilingly and with unshakeable courage.
To build up a good health is another thing that one must do in boyhood. A child who takes exercise and plays games is sure to build up a muscular body. This habit of taking exercise helps him when he grows up. He stays young for long and thus he is able to perform his duties efficiently as a house –holder. Good health keeps away enemies. It enables one do to do physical labor whenever he has to. Even bad elements are afraid of a person with good health. A healthy person can earn much more than a weakling.
The fourth quality that we must acquire in boyhood is the habit of praying to god. It confirms our faith in the almighty. It calls for his blessings. We acquire knowledge, wealth and wealth. We achieve success when we are householders. Prayer or worship is our basic need. It gives us peace of mind and keeps us happy.
Moreover, it makes us God-fearing and we shun all evil. We take to a pure life and don’t commit any evil. The Almighty is with us at every step and we advance on the journey of life fearlessly.
