So we all know that car wax is helpful for waxing your car...but how often do we really need to do that. Here are some other very cool uses for that car wax that's just collecting dust in your garage.
1. Give faucets a nice shine -- just rub it on.
2. Unstick hinges -- for use on garden shears and old scissors
3. Keep stainless steel appliances fingerprint free -- apply a thin coat then buff clean on any stainless steel appliances
4. Fix a skipping CD -- i know you are probably asking 'what is a CD?' but if you are archaic like myself this can be very helpful. apply a small dab of car wax to a scratched CD and buff it clean using short strokes along the length of the scratch, not across it. Rinse the CD with water and let it air-dry before playing (duh!).
5. Combat corrosion -- apply a thin coat to brass door knockers, mailboxes and other outdoor fixtures.
6. Fight mildew -- after using your regular cleanser, apply a layer of car wax to the inside and outside of a shower door and buff off with a dry cloth
7. make drawers and windows easier to open -- apply a small dab to the tracks of drawers or windows and they'll glide more smoothly
8. prevent bumper sticker residue -- listen up you hippies!! before placing a sticker on your car bumper rub a bit of wax and it will peel off easily...once you stop liking phish (for instance)
9. keep snow from sticking -- apply two thick coats of car wax to the head of a shovel or inside chute of a snow blower to prevent snow from sticking
10. make a mirror fog free -- super handy for anyone who hates waking up early but has to look presentable for work (i wouldn't know the first thing about this). rub a thin layer of car wax on your mirror and buff out...next time you step out of the shower it should be clear as day.
