If you have ever thought that you need to lose a few kgs of weight you are just as human as the rest of us. It is our bane to be never satisfied with the weight that we are. A few are blessed with the kind of slim figures that we see in magazines, and television ads, and the rest of us struggle most of our lives trying to match up to that ideal. The hourglass figure of the black and white films was much healthier, but we no longer live in black and white times.
In the Technicolor world of today one needs to be slim and smart. That's the key to a great social life and a good career for most people. But is it really that easy to reach that ultra slim state? Or would you be so unforgiving of your body type that you will eat lettuce and survive on eight glasses of water each day? I'm sure even a rabbit will be fed up if he had no change in diet other than lettuce.
Thanks to this slimness craze there are any number of weight loss tools available in the market. These include pills that act as appetite suppressants. Others that claim to melt away your body fat and still others that may actually cause you bodily harm if taken without medical supervision. The point is that pills don’t work, even if they are really herbal in nature.
Then there is the nutrition shake that you must substitute a meal with in order to lose weight instantly. Hello! If you miss a meal and have a cup of regular milk in its place you will still lose weight as you have reduced your calorie intake. Yet instead of understanding this basic fact millions of people buy these “special” milk shakes and get swindled out of their money.
There are also a zillion gadgets out there that vibrate or use infra red rays or some such technology to help you lose weight without breaking into a sweat. Come on people it’s a scam. The only way to lose weight is by losing calories and while dieting will reduce some calories, its physical exercise that will help the most.
So don’t get suckered in by dreams of becoming slim over night by using a weigh loss tool. You need to work at weight loss on a regular basis and make sure that your effort remains consistent. By merely running yourself to the ground on one day in the week you are not going to knock off those excess kilos. So get a plan and work to it.
