WEALTH OF GOOD HEALTH
Good health- Arogya doesn’t entail only as an absense of diseases, but it means presence of a positive energy for working on day-to-day basis. Neither we get this on a platter nor we can buy it. We may only earn it.
How do we earn it?
- by exercising and relaxing all muscles in our body regularly.
- By hving proper nourishment.
- By resting whenever required.
There are many ways of exercising our muscles. One must choose as per availability of time and convenience. One could pay and join a gym. Or one could walk on flat grounds for 40-50 minutes. One could work at home by doing small chores and get double benefit out of this exercise. One could revive one’s childhood and play actively on grounds. One could join yoga classes and learn yoga properly. One could go to swimming or go cycling.
One could combine any of these ways and work for at least 2 hours per day regularly. Exercise is the best stress buster. It makes you physically fit and mentally fit as well. One doesn’t remember one’s worries while doing workouts. This works better than meditation as it spends calories.
Working out a particular muscle particularly everyday builds up stamina thereby making it stronger. Persistence in exercises is the key. It should be made into a way of life permanently.
PLEASE REMEMBER
- Clothing- always wear loose, cotton hosiery clothes and comfortable shoes, sneakers/ good walking shoes giving support to the arches of feet.
- Start with warming up i.e. a jogging on the spot and hand exercises.
- Exercise every joint one by one.
- Every action should be balanced or followed by an opposite action.
- All movements should be smooth, controlled, without jerk.
- Along the movements along with music, it will prevent you from boredom.
- In case of any orthopedic ailments, please consult a good Doctor or ask a physiotherapist regarding the exercises.
- Do not eat within 1 hour of exercise. A drink of water may be allowed within ½ hour.
- Diabetics should not exercise on empty stomach.
- Exercises must be completed by cooling sown procedure, i.e., yogasanas namely Bhujangasan, Shalabhasan and Shavasan.
The muscles that are not used for prolonged period get atrophied and useless. The muscles that are frequently used get stronger and competent.
So, don’t wait for another day to come. A good bout of exercise doesn’t tire oneself but rejuvenates instead. It improves the circulation of blood thereby improving skin tone, here growth and walking gait. Exercise truly improves your appearance and presentation. The glow of health makes you look beautiful. Please start a habit of exercise in any form for your children. The investment in time and efforts will give them the key to a great wealth of good health.
