Skin reflects youth, beauty and charm. People feel uncomfortable when the skin tends to be dull and parched. This dullness and parched skin is what is termed as “Dry Skin”. Once you feel some dryness or tightness in the skin, it is better to contact the dermatologist at once as these could be the symptoms of dry skin. If the treatment is not sarted at the earliest, then cracks could develop and it could lead to Eczema, Folliculitis and Cellulitis.
One of the best ways to prevent dry sin is to avoid extreme weather conditions. It is also better not to wash or bath in hot water frequently. After a shower or bath, the water should not be rubbed away but only soaked. After a bath, you can apply some moisturiser to keep the water intact in the skin. Always choose detergents that contain Humectants and Emollients. While Humectants help to attract water to the skin Emollients acts as a lubricant. When going out in the sun, use some sunscreen lotions and moisturiser.
Another thing that has to be kept in mind is to drink a lot of water. Water helps in hydrating the body. Include more grains, seeds, nuts, fruits and vegetables in your diet and also don’t forget to take regular exercise. Vitamins and natural oils also keep Dry skin away.

Well, all the creams and lotions can only give relief to dry skin and cannot completely cure it. Only proper care can do wonders in giving relief.
