I tried this recipe for roti yesterday. It came out well. So t thought of putting that here.
Ingredients:
- Cauliflower ( Medium size ) - 1
- Onion ( Medium size ) - 3
- Tomato ( big ) - 2
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Cinnamon - little
- Cloves - little
- Tumeric powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 2 tsp
- Cardamom power - little
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves - little
- Oil - As per need
- Salt - As per taste
Method:
1. Take the florets from cauliflower and put it in water.
2. Add little salt and boil it for 10 minutes. This will remove dust or any insects if present in the floret.
3. Cut onion and tomato to small pieces.
4. Heat oil in a pan and fry cinnamon and cloves.
5. Add ginger garlic paste and cardamom powder and fry.
6. Add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown.
7. Add tomatoes and fry for sometime.
8. Drain the water and add the cauliflower florets and fry for sometime.
9. When the florets becomes soft, add required water, salt, tumerioc powder chilli powder , garam masala. and mix it well.
10. Cook it well till the florets are cooked well and the gravy becomes thick.
11. Remove from the flame, garnish with coriander leaves and serve with hot rotis.
Note : If you find the gravy is not thick, make a paste of channa dhal flour with water , pour it to the gravy and boil it for 5 minutes.
The gravy will become thick.
