Ingredients:
- Milk - 500ml
- Ghee - 100g
- Milk candy ( Palkova in tamil ) - 25g
- Jackfruit bulbs - 5
- Rasthali Banana - 2
- Mango fruit - 1
- Sugar - 500g
- Badam - 10
- Cashewnuts - 10
- Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
- Apple - 1/2
Method:
1. Soak badam in water for sometime and peel its skin.
2. Peel the skin of apple , mango fruit and banana
3. Cut apple, jackfruit bulbs, mango fruit and banana to small pieces.
4. Heat little ghee in a pan and fry the jackfruit bulbs little and allow it to cool.
5. Grind all the fruits ( Apple, mango fruit, banana, jackfruit bulb ) to a paste in a mixie.
6. Grind badam and cashewnuts to powder in a mixie.
7.Heat little ghee in a pan an fry the grinded powder little and allow it to cool.
8. Boil the milk in a broad vessel till the quantity becomes approximately 200ml.
9. Add milk candy, powdered badam - cashewnut mix, grinded fruit paste, cardamom powder and ghee and mix it well.
10. Add ghee in between till the mixture comes thick paste like halwa and switch off the gas.
11. Take a broad tray , spread ghee in that and put the halwa in it and cut into pieces after sometime.
Note : Halwa will be yellowish in colour because of mango fruit. Use kesari powder if you want the usual halwa colour.
