For soothing the throat:
1. Milk with honey is good especially if you want to go to a song class and haven't practiced yet, still your voice will somehow come out with this trick and teacher will not give you any scolding, but, note Milk plus Honey is fattening and it will make one put on weight.
2. Warm milk with a pinch of turmeric consumed at night before going to bed.
3. Panankalkandu (you get this in naattu marundu kadai) plus Milk consumed at night before going to bed.
4. Eat some rice with milagu jeeram podi and ghee. This will remove the excess heat due to which there is cold and whose aftereffects is sore throat.
A good constitution is one in which the centre of the head remains cool and the soles of the feet remain warm. This has been used by many doctors especially pediatricians that is why it becomes important to warm the soles and the inner feet. Also applying brandy to chest and the inner feet and the sole area helps when one is suffering from cold.
Fasting once in 15 days, would only eat 2-3 chappatis with jaggery end of day and jogging for 30 minutes in the morning made me lose weight like anything. Then, I was desperately trying to put on but fasting should be broken preferably with orange/lime juice as it would alkalize the acidic stomach.
Then, jaladriti that is drinking 4-5 glasses of warm water and vomiting it out once in 15 days cleanses stomach and is again helpful in putting on/losing weight.
Eating 2-3 of almonds soaked overnight in water made skin a little more soft. Using coconut oil instead of refined oil for making curries (only a little) made the skin look younger, removed the rashes/dryness.
