Diseases due to obesity
The three important diseases due to overweight are
1. Heart disease
Fat content in the blood increases when a man puts on weight. This fat gets deposited on the narrow blood vessels that supplies oxygen to the heart. It blocks the easy path of blood and results in the blocking of blood passage. This will lead to heart attacks can even cause death.
2. Stroke
If the fat content gets deposited in the blood vessels of brain, this will lead to stroke. Some part of the brain will lack to get the blood supply and thereby oxygen and can cause some deformalities to human body like memory loss, weakness etc.
3. Diabetes
This situation is arisen due to the increased sugar level in the blood. It can badly affect the working of internal organs like kidney etc.
Things to be remembered while planning to start exercise
Are you ready to start exercise or trying to improve the workouts, then you have to consider the 3 basic elements: muscle strength, aerobic fitness, amount of exercise to do.
If you are an athlete or a body builder you have to think muscle strength and aerobic fitness. But for others they have to fix the amount of exercise to reduce their fat and maintain health. BMI = (Weight in Kilograms / (Height in Meters) x (Height in Meters))

Also free BMI calculating sites can be used for this. The next step is to decide the weight which is to be reduced and to decide the exercise routine.
Exercises
Aerobic exercise- If you are an athlete you have to do this. This exercise will
help to increase your stamina. The simple form of this exercise is to run 60 mile or more in a week. Aerobic exercise will help the overall development of lungs, heart and muscles. This exercise has to be done with the help of a trainer. Also heart patients do not do it without consulting a doctor.
Walking-It is the best medicine available. This is said by Hippocrates. Walking thus helps to reduce weight and thereby reducing chances for diabetes. Also walking strengthens our heart. It helps to increase the blood circulation and thereby keeping your body healthy. Also it is believed that walking increases the health of brain. It also helps to increase the strength of bone.
Running or jogging- Jogging means running slowly. This will helps to increase blood circulation. It will help to reduce the cholesterol level and helps to prevent heart diseases. It will also helps in reduction of blood pressure.
Cycling- Cycling will also be beneficial. But not as good as running. So prefer running than cycling.
Swimming- Today swimming is a sport with this has greater importance in the day to day life. It helps to burn out a large amount of fat. The simple exercise involves all the major internal organs of the body.
All these exercises are to be done according to the amount of the weight to be reduced. Exercises like running and swimming helps to burn large amount of fat and help to attain faster result.
Procedure for doing these exercises
It is preferable to do exercise on daily basis. Also after getting up in the morning will be the best time for doing exercise. It is good to start doing exercise in the presence of a guide at the beginning. Later you can do it without the help of guide.
