Though there are so many reality shows broadcast on a television some reality shows are related from singing, dancing or any other concepts. In Indian television there is a reality show called Nach Baliye, which is broadcast on Indian channel Star Plus. In this show only couples can participated and dance and there is an elimination after every episode of the show and finally at last the winner is decided on the basis of public votes. The first two seasons were broadcast on Star One after that on Star Plus.

The show is based on a simple concept in which all the celebrities couples have to compete with each other. The latest season of Nach Baliye is season 5 started on 29 December, 2012. The host of this season is Karan Wahi and Gautam Rode. Sajid Khan, terence Lewis and Shilpa Shetty decided as the judges of this season. There are tweleve couples participated in the show the names of all the tweleve couples are

3. Kunwar Amarjeet Singh and Charlie Chauhan.

All the Jodi's gives there best to entertain the public and win the heart of the judges with their entertaining dance performances over three months and at every episode one Jodi is eliminated and finally the day come when we have the winner of this show and the winner is Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij. The final Runner's up of this show is Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta. Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta are the strong contenders of Jay and Mahi but due to the huge Fan following and amazing dance steps of Jay and Mahi they won the show and get the trophy.

At the Grand Finale of the show actor Ajay Devgun and actress Tamanna also present to cheer up the final Jodi's and also to promote their upcoming Movie Himmatwala.

In 2012 we had the good fortune of seeing some Hindi movies which were away from the usual Masala fare that is served to the viewers. These 'hatke' type movies succeeded at the box office and were able to attract audiences, to a large extent, due to word of mouth publicity. They have  thus created a space for more such movies in the future.

Movies like 'Paan Singh Tomar',"Kahani and 'Dirty Picture' were very well received by both the discerning and ordinary movie goer. They brought  a whiff of fresh air in the theaters and not only left the them satisfied but also craving for more. The directors of these movies are to be complimented for taking the bold steps and delivering much above standard movies.

'Paan Singh Tomar' brought to light the true story of an army trained runner whom circumstances force to become a dreaded dacoit in the ravines of Chambal to seek justice for the injustices heaped upon his family. Irrfan Pathan has acted the main characters role superbly. The joy of winning medals in both domestic and international meets is brought out realistically and so is the pathos of leading a fugitive dacoit's life. The true story was soon to attract increasing audiences due to the word of mouth publicity and it made good profit, contrary to the fate of such movies at the box office.

'Kahani' was another class movie which had the added attraction of the popular star Vidya Balan. She enacted her role superbly and the story keeps the audience engrossed till the end. Directed very ably in matching locations in Kolkatta it comes out as a realistic story having a terrorist angle and involving compromise by a senior intelligence officer.The other actors have also acted their rloes very effectively.

'Dirty Picture' tells the tragic but true tale of a sexy siren of the South movies whose rise and fall is now recalled in a legendary manner. It also has Vidya Balan in the lead role and needless to say she deserved the many 'Best Actress' awards she got. Ably supported by Naseeruddin Shah a great actor himself, the movie besides entertaining also has a message  for the audience. 

Another realistic movie to hit the theaters was 'Gangs of Wasseypur' telling the true story of the gang warfares in the coal fields of India in Bihar. It was shot in realistic locales and the dialogues were full of four letter words. As happens in real life there is considerable violence depicted in scene after scene. It also was well received, though to many the use of foul language and extent of violence seemed to be unusually on the higher side. 

In all the above movies there was a common thread running through. It was the movie plots which were based on strong stories. The high class of the story enabled the director to realistically direct and gave ample scope to the actors to perform. The strong stories also kept the audiences comming into the theaters. In fact the actors many times become incidental, any actor would do and still the movie would be gripping.

That these movies succeeded commercially shows the message that is being given by the average movie goer. A movie with a stong story and good direction will recieve their support. No longer it is necessary for every movie to be a romantic thriller or a tear jerker or to take us on world tours. A good story is what an average movie goer is gladly going to shell out his hard earned money.These days music is a very high casualty unlike till the mid seventies, when it would by itself draw the crowds. Today's audiences want powerful and realistic stories. May more such movies come out from Bollywood.

What is life style

Human life is unique. Unlike animal, man does not live on food only. His life consists of diverse activities that include work, entertainment and other family and social activities. Every one has a unique attitude towards life and society, work and rest, family and society. All have different likes and dislikes. This makes all the difference. How one lives is life style. Thus some have simple life while others' life style may be more luxurious. some are workaholics whereas others like to spend more time on sight seeing, entertainment and socializing.

Entertainment is an important aspect of life style

An individual devotes his time towards work, rest, pleasure, entertainment, social and other activities. Some are workaholics. They spend very less time to entertainment. For them work itself is entertainment. Many eminent scientists and other highly successful men in different fields are in this category.

What is entertainment 

There is a saying- All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. But what is entertainment?  This is nothing but a break from regular work and diversion. Thus if you work in office, you may play badminton after office hours. This is entertainment. But this is not entertainment for a professional player. His entertainment differs. He may read some books as an entertainment. Song may be entertainment for a player but this is work for a professional singer. Thus everything is work as well as entertainment. Thus entertainment is nothing but a break from regular work. There is diversity in every work. One may entertain himself or rather relax by changing his current task. He may just postpone the current task and take up another one. This is also relaxing and a sort of entertainment.  

Entertainment depends on state of technology 

In ancient times, kite flying, bull fighting, crow fighting, Kabbadi and Kho Kho were sources of entertainment. Devotional songs and Kawalis entertained people. But with invention of modern gadgets like radio, television, cinema, multimedia phones and computers, Internet, there came a revolution. Now a simple device mobile phone is not only a source of communication but also a great entertainer with camera, ring tones, music. Now one may remain attached all the time to his mobile phone for all business needs, family communication as well as entertainment 

How mobile phone changed life style 

Mobile phone has enabled people to be in constant touch with family and business clients round the clock. This has enhanced efficiency and reduced the need to move to different places. Now you may do many things by click of mouse. Internet banking and many other online facilities made this possible. An advertisement says- The smart people use mouse and not accelerator.  

Modern gadgets bridged gap between work and entertainment; family and business; residence and office 

Thanks to modern gadgets like mobile phone and Internet, one is always in contact with business as well as family. This is not an unmixed blessing. This affected concentration on work and also family responsibility. There is an old proverb- work while you work and play while you play. But the modern gadgets have habituated people to work and play simultaneously. They attend to family phones when in office and deal with business clients when at residence. There is no time schedule. There is no proper sleep even. In absence of mobile  phone, one divided his time properly between family and work. Now there is very thin dividing line between work and family, work and entertainment and so on. Needless to say this has changed life style very negatively. One can do justice neither to job nor to family nor to other social responsibilities.

The way out

The only remedy is to make a judicious use of modern gadgets. There is need to recognize the difference between mobile phones and fixed phones. The fixed phones at home and office are common phones for the establishment/ family whereas mobile phone is personal. The phone calls in office should be on fixed phones only and those by family friends on fixed phone at residence. Mobile phones should not be used for common office or business establishment as well as common family relatives. These are only for personal friends and spouses/ children. Moreover, office timings must be fixed and all phone calls from or to office for business purpose should be only during business hours. Similarly, there should be least contact with family during business hours. This is the sure way to avoid hyper tension and anxiety as well as over work. There is no sense in attending to business on your mobile phone when you are on a holiday trip or talkng to your spouse on next honemoon during busniess hours. However one may make exception in very rare circumstances. 

Bond is 50 now

Almost fifty years before in the month of year1962, a unique character took birth with the words ‘Bond, my name is James Bond’! Yes, when Shaun Connery delivered this dialogue for ‘Dr.No’ the first movie of famous James Bond series written based on novels by Ian Fleming. With these words a new character who was destined to be most famous amongst the detective, thriller cine world that would break all records of world of silver screen of cinema to thrill the audience for far longer period than even the creator of the character might have imagined. 

James Bond took the world by storm. It was not that there were not enough famous characters or movies, those enthralled audience with their charismatic work but no other series succeeded, as James Bond series succeeded, the charisma of James Bond is still alive. He is here as long as the cinema would stay, as he is one of the most legendry character ever introduced to world cinema. He is here to stay 'like diamonds are for ever'. The twenty-third of the James Bond series the ‘sky fall’ is doing wonderfully well at the current time and collecting well at the box-office allover world pulling big crowd. Critics and viewers are as impressed as they used to be fifty years before and keep waiting eagerly for a new release but 23 in fifty years should give you a fair idea of time gap his movies take to hit the screen.   

It’s not that there were no other thrillers, detective or other as famous or even more in star wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the rings or Sherlock Holmes series maybe some of these earned better than few of the Bond series movies did but James Bond is a character that none other could beat. He is a brand in himself. Although Sherlock Holmes is one character that came into the same category of detective movies and plays maybe screened or played on stage far greater times than Bond movies but while we talk about popularity, nothing to beat James Bond at that. Bond is a school a brand of himself miles ahead in his category, no other character to match or beat him. 

The fact is that creator of James Bond the darling of the cinema watchers, Ian Fleming who served in British Navy’ intelligence wing during world war-2 as a detective himself had an in-depth knowledge of basics of the art of field of intelligence services. He with his first hand knowledge knew tricks of trade that came in handy while he created one of the most dreaded agents, whom he perfected with all his expertise. The author used all his experience to, imagination and creativity to create history that took world cinema by storm. 

As we know very well that Bond movies were not only the art of busting criminals but were made with commercial purpose as well to give them a magic touch of crime, sex and wonder effects to make them totally different from the lot and they succeeded beyond expectation, they created some thing out of the world.

Popularly known as 007 the most famous detective of the cine world looks so real that most people think that he is not an imaginary figure, he is considered a real detective who later took a filmy shape. A Youngman wonderfully well built less with almost every fighting skill and killer sex appeal, who could attract any woman he wanted to help his cause. He agreed to no hurdle in his way, ever thing was an easy task for him; he was James Bond, the great James Bond, who never counted dead or alive he left behind while on mission or for his cause.

Films of Bond most suited to a spy of his status for the fight scenes pasteurized with excellent expertise, counter e espionage with help of sexy looking female agents being part of the movies make them as added attractions and thrilling to filmgoers who find all such activities so fascinating, which keep them attached. Filmgoers look at James Bond as real character and their imaginations have similar looking men who work in secret organizations. They do not find a person performing such unbelievably wonderful thrilling jobs someone from out of the world but a real one who is capable of performing such acts in real life. His boss M, Miss Moneypenny the secretary of boss having funny exchange of dialogues in between these two mostly indicating to close intimacy. Here is a special episode, which took place while James Bond was waiting to see his boss M in outer office where Moneypenny was always present. James Bond who always taunted her in his usual funny manner says some thing in a low voice and she in turn told him- 'You should know that this kind of behavior can cost you trouble as this qualify as sexual harassment. James Bond replied are you sure, What do you think should be the penalty for that? Moneypenny said in reply that 'someday, you shall have to part with your particular organs' 

Gadgets used by Bond, mostly the common items like ring, watches, cameras, pen, shoes and other items fixed in different parts of his body and dresses provided by Dr. Q. his love for BMW and Austin cars and Martini for drinks. His will to fight against enemy of his country including terrorism with courage and his different girl friends on different missions are some of his specialties.    

Ian Fleming made him special

James Bond who was bird watcher and expert on birds inspired Ian Fleming to name his lead character, besides few other coworkers during his service period in Navy and with first hand knowledge of operations like ‘Operation Golden eye and Operation Mincemeat’ which he planned along with other coworkers. Later he worked as a journalist that gave him more experience about writing on espionage with complete command. He wrote eleven Bond novels and two collections of short stories in his short life span as he died at the age of 56 but still alive in James Bond because when people talk about James Bond, Ian Fleming is also remembered as well.

Ian Fleming with his mind set clearly on cold war going on just after the Second World War against so-called left front or communist countries of erstwhile Soviet Russian and company countries like Hungary, Romania, and East Germany etc. His hero a representative of British and US led forces always wanted to remain active and in the process traveled allover the world to conquer them all and prove his point. Fleming did it in a grand manner. Ian portrayed his hero James Bond as a friend of friends, for instance Felix who worked for CIA and a great enemy of his and country’s enemies. He was ruthless indeed while dealing with enemy forces.

The actors who played the role of Terence Young, Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, were all well built as per the need of the character including Daniel Craig the current Bond. I must include the extra ordinary role played by David Niven in Casino Royale, I watched decades before and can remember it for its comic scenes as Bond lost his trousers in a scene or misfired his gun.

James Bond with his typical jolly nature although ruthless person while on business has a solid relation with India also through his movie ‘Octopussy’ released in 1983 was filmed mostly in India. The hotel room in Udaipur is named as James Bond suite where the film was pasteurized. As a matter of fact, the items used in Bond movies become instantly popular to established as brand, even cars and other items used, auctioned in Sotheby’s the world’s most prestigious auction house.

Another example of popularity of a character of films is his style of dialogues and delivery of dialogues. If we can quote the world famous characters known for their mannerism and dialogues like we can put our own Amitabh in that particular Category, James Bond has a whole list of such dialogues to his credit, for instance James Bond while in custody of a villain asks ‘Now what do you want?’ and the villain says ‘I want you to die now” however, this particular desire of most villains have not yet been fulfilled despite they wishing so for last 50 years. He is still alive and kicking as usual even if he is 50.
