You may not give 2SHITS about this review now since the contest is back but here goes...

NOTE: Whoever came up with the thought of calling it 2SHITS and not SHITS 2, bloody creative brilliance! Take a bow, sir. Enlighten us on who that was Ankit.

Right off the bat, this week's episode was THE best in a loong loooong time. You could tell! Bumpy was pumping his fists and going, 'content content content!' The show really needed lots of it to get back up and running after the damp squib it has been over the past few weeks. The episode had everything from catfights and conflicts to tasks and I'm mighty impressed with the level of tasks this season. Last year, the tasks of the India leg were kinda thanda before shit got crazy in Australia. Good to see, they aren't holding back anything this year and I can only imagine that it's gonna get a lot more intense in Africa. Pretty sure this year the two/three who make it to the finals would be battered, bruised and exhausted by the time they get there.

At the beginning of the episode, I thought they were going in for a similar kind of narrative that they did last year when Palak was shown voted out in the beginning, only to be brought back at the end of the episode in a twist where Sufi got chucked (What an episode, that was! Content Content Content!) But, soon I realised Vikas had been given an unceremonious bye-bye from the show for good. Made sense. Wasn't any point in wasting another 20-odd minutes to show everyone vote against him. Good call, that. And the first segment built up the Ravneet-Bharti angle sufficiently well, foreseeing their face-off in the second task of the episode. Good storytelling, that. I felt more involved and I actually cared about one of the two and wanted her to win the crossword task unlike previous episodes where the urge to root for someone never really came.

I also felt for Charlie during the entire episode through the Mohit-Charlie-Ravneet Q&A confrontation through to the end where Bharti got chucked. It mattered to her to have Bharti on the show as an ally since the Mohit/Zaid/Amrit link had weakened after the Q&A. So the tears were real, just not because her "friend" got voted out but because her own time on the show is now in serious jeopardy.

There. There's your analysis. You give me good content-content-content and I'll give you more than lame jokes that nobody gets. Now, for the lame jokes that nobody gets (now with extra tangential references that'll go -whoosh-)

Pity to see Vikas chucked out like he was, so close to the Africa trip. He would have fit in well there with the animals and maybe the crew could've done India a favour and leave him there with a bunch of chimps and a month's supply of kelas. Nevertheless, the Roadies moved from Calicut to Cochin (Fuck yeah!)

The Coconut Bridge task continued what has so far been a series of the most gruelling tasks on any season of Roadies. Seeing their faces twisted in agony as they lift, jump, crawl, climb and slide their way through the tasks is most fulfilling and strengthens the 'adventure-journey' credibility of the show. A LOT of people still identify the show as the one with gaali-galoch, where a bald moron selects a bunch of other morons who make asses of themselves for some cheap entertainment. It was that till this year, the Roadies now, are smart, tough and tactful. Mohit, Zaid, Anwar, Amrit and Priyanka (in that order) live up to the physical requirements of the show and Ameya is probably the cleverest Roadie we've had in a long time. His performance however in the task was real funny. Now, I don't mean to make fun of overweight people but Ameya should never wear tight blue and red spandex inspite of his spider-like abilities. Props to Anwar, seemed like he was the only one really contributing to the team's efforts but poor strategy

The other tribe (I still can't tell for my mother's life which one is which, Mambas/Indians!?) got the advantage of going second and sent their heavier ones early, successfully completing the task. And yet, after winning "advantage", the winning tribe had a team member booted out, so I am not sure yet when and how the advantage will come to play, probably would have something to do with Irfan Khan's next week appearance.

Kathakali Crossword (which wasn't really a Crossword so much as it was a Word Map though Kathakali Crossword has a better alliterative ring to it if you replace the C in crossword with a K. Heh!) <--- Irrelevant tangent: You can skip this part and still get the complete review experience.

Kathakali Crossword was an ingenious way of using the art form for a task. It is an inherently symbolic form of dance-drama and requires serious face twitching and eyebrow juggling to pull off. And it is a real bitch to understand what the performer wants to convey unless you have a VJ reading a story off cue cards. The task capitalised on that and in the end, a woman fucked Bharti. (The word 'w-o-m-a-n', you freaks)

The post elimination drama wrapped up and set up what I hope would be a more enjoyable set of episodes to come. And it's about damn time!

Yeah, I have a reason behind saying  as SP-L-ITS-V--ILLA.

Well it’s the 3rd season of the show and they always emphasis on 1 thing world war of love, but I guess the thing spreads from the show is LOVE only.

Season 1 was all about to find the perfect love partner for the boys, second was to search for the love in the Villa itself, and in the 3rd season, love was called before in form of couples and singles were given a chance to find a couple too.

On what basis I am saying this? Well, in this season, Pooja and Arjun (1st Queen and King of this season) have not performed quite well till now in comparison to the other participants, but they are still in race, and call it Arjun’s love or anything, it was all because of him that Pooja is still in the game. Niharika and Mahip is still in the game as they entered in the game as couples and they are in the game with their efforts, though, but they have faith on each other.

Talking about singles, Pavitra & Monica are all in love with themselves, so they are still in the game and Vikas is just a licker, so it gives him more chances to be in the game.

No, there is no issue with Vikas or Ashish, though I still believe they are just there for the fame, but not for love. For rest of participants, we can see the love thing between them, we can see how lovely they have cared for their partners, respect them, and even try harder to save them in a game.

This is what always Splitsvilla want, to find the love in the air or call it find the love in the show. Talking about bitchiness in the game, it happens in every show. But in this show, love does make a difference to the other life and it does give a chance to each other in a different situations.

Episode Discussion 26 January 2010:

After a long 2 weeks I finally watched the episode today!! and it was something Unbelievable!! Ridzi was TOOO BEST today!!.

the scenes in the operation theater was really very good!! Ridzi & Sid's courage giving to that baby Tamanna(!) was really very good..That little girl Tamanna acted really very well.

then..Ridzi knows about the truth..Her acting in front of Devota..when she was praying that was outstanding....too good!!

in BB court the acting with Shashank was really very fine also..here I felt she showed some overacting..but overall it was great!!

but I have some confusions about this incident!! at first they showed that, Shashank told Armaan to leave Sanjeevani, from Ridzi's life..now they showed that it was Armaan's decision not to get involved in Ridzi's life..Armaan did it intentionally..And he told Shashank to tell the false to Ridzi..then actually what is Shashank's fault here?? he did it bcoz Armaan wanted to do it..by the sake of his love to Ridzi!!

and I felt Ridzi reacted very much today!! I felt crying for her!! the way she acted..but while talking with Shashank..once Ridzi said,

"tell me PAPA..neither I will KILL U"...

Whatever the situation is..A daughter can't tell it to her father..

and finally she did a crime actually..she showed before that, she always obeys to her father..when Armaan was in hunger strike..she dint even open the window bcoz of her father's order..now HOW did she say,

"u proved that u r not my father!!"[.blue]..

HOW??!!.

Whatever the episode was really great also bcoz "Ishaq Leta Hain" was played!!...overall waiting for the next episode..Now Sid is going to help Shashank!!....

Episode Discussion 29 January 2010::

in a whole it was not a bad epi at all..and actually there was no especial thing..The great thing was to see BILLY after along time.

I seriously felt today that UV has improved his acting a lot..I dint watch DMG after 7 jan..and within these 2-3 weeks UV has improved a lot!! the scene between YN was so romantic..I loved it..

but I dint understand what is UV's plan now??!! he started detective work again??!!....what was he doing in the lab??!! and what’s the history of that patient??..please someone inform me.

well,, JP-JIggy scene was as usual very boring..I was about to sleep at that moment..but at last when he was fallen on nurse that was really funny..I laughed..but I hv one question "CAN A NURSE SLAP TO A INTERN DOCTOR??"..It is seriously not possible..

and Sid-Ridzi both were rocking today!! and Billy was shown after a long days!1 It was great!! I seriously hope that Armaan will b shown..

and Ridzi slapped Sid again!! OHH How many times she will slap Sid?!!....

Sid saced Ridzi at last scene..and Ridzi said she saw Armaan!! I m eagerly waiting for that!!

overall it was worthy to watch..

15th December

Recap-Mayank hides the letter given to him by Nupur from exam and then Exams are announced. And then they show Mayank taunting Nupur.Dia is happy thinking Samrat will be with her in the exam time

Episode: AT THE COLLEGE:

The cook of the canteen follows Gunjan with "Adrak waali chai"..while just behind her Samrat says"Yeh chasmish kahaan hai"
Gunjan hearing that Gunjan spills the tea. The cook of the canteen says “If u dint like the tea..you could of just told me, no need to make excuses"
Gunjan walks away. Samrat spots Nupur and goes to her he calls her name. She shouts backs:"what happened?"in an rather annoyed tone.

She see's Samrat ,she smiles. Samrat asks what Nupur is doing ..Nupur replies dint you hear? exams are coming up..so i am just copying the time-table(again in an annoyed tone)I dont know why there are exams mean we come to the college to meet each other....Samrat agrees with her. Nupur squeals in delight “You mean even you don’t like exams?:"Benjie comes and says he wants to talk to samrat.Nupur says let her talk once(awe..lol..she never talks)
.They laugh.Benjie goes. Talking ill of exams..without realizing both Nupur and Sammy enter the women's toilet. Sammy asks "whether nupur has seen Gunjan.Nupur says she has already answered to that. and no she hasn’t seen Gunjan.So samrat asks were the library is. Nupur asks samrat..that he will be going to the library? Samrat says he doesn’t but gunjan does.TJ enters and says Samrat with a grin.TJ-"I dint know you had changed so much “Nupur looks at Samrat.TJ-this is a women's toilet".Nupur squeals “What if somebody see's me here with you?"...Samrat “Chill babes chill"..While going out he bumps into Mayank. Mayank looks towards the women's toilet.Samrat"I needed a change..you know i got bored..!"Samrat asks Mayank were the library is? Mayank -Library?Samrat-Shh....dheere..dude..if someone listens there will be a crowd at the library. Mayank-The day there is a crowd in the library..the future of this college will be bright. In the library there aren’t any your types of girls.
Samrat-& your types?..Mayank-aage jaake right mein.(i am not completely sure if that’s what he said!).....Samrat-Your types of girls?
Mayank-No the library...Samrat goes towards the library.
Mayank bumps into nupur..they stare at each other..they move both towards the right..then left..then start walking towards the right together and then stop and stare at each. Then TJ comes they Mayank goes to TJ..and nupur turns and goes the other way but nupur comes back looks at mayank and then again turn back and go(lol)

Gunjan says thank you to the librarian.
Samrat is about to enter the library but then he stop..his left leg a little above the ground. He looks around the library and thinks: First time i am entering a library..feeling a bit weird..HE looks around ..and then he thinks better of entering the library ..he is about to go when the professor with stinking hair oil comes(i am sorry i do not remember his name)He pulls Samrat into the library and gives dialogues like “your mind is like a kite. Samrat see's Gunjan but is unable to do anything.

At Dia's Home:

Gunjan and Nupur are sitting together. Nupur is saying-"I was not in a mood but if i was i would not have left that monkey mayank"..she looks at Gunjan..and see's Gunjan isn’t paying attention..
Nupur goes to her and asks what happened..Gunjan says-Dee..why do soem people take all matters very lightly?
Nupur-Well..i have to ask the other people. I am sorry guys but i do not remember a particular line gunjan said..but it was said something related to help.
Nupur-everyone wants help..you, samrat..why does no one help me?
Gunjan smiles and says she will make tea.
Uday asks Nupur-by looking how much fever do u think i have?
Nupur- i think around 100.
Udays smiles-yesterday i had 99..woah now i have 100..fast.So now i may not have to give the exams.
Nupur goes back to Gunjan.
The phone rings..Uday goes and picks it up..its Sammy

Sammy-What are you doing?(or i think he asked what everybody is doing!)
Uday-The drive is off for holiday, dad is out for work..dia is doing something with her nails and the guards are playing ludo
Sammy-what are the morena sisters doing?
Uday- As usual Nupur is muttering to herself and gunjan is studying
Sammy-does gunjan look angry?
Uday laughs..but then stops and looks at Gunjan and then says-Gunjan is like a caller tune she is always the way you set it..she has the same dull expression.
Sammy-Good
then they hang up.

Next day at college-Samrat enters in his bike..he opens the helmet and then says “gunjan..i did have a bet with you....bet with you?(he repeats in an confused tone).....he keep repeating..Chasmish i did not mean to hurt you.."
Someone taps on his shoulder he turns and see's Gunjan

Gunjan-Samrat how can you take things so lightly?
Samrat-I did not mean to hurt anyone.
Gunjan--If you study for 2 hrs a day nothing will happen
Samrat-haan woh..what studies? we are talking about studies?
Gunjan-Yeah...if you don’t pass your exams this year..principal will take you out of the basketball thing.
she hands him a envelope.
Samrat-except haan..woh..nahiin i haven’t heard you speak..so you can actually speak a sentence?
gunjan smiles-if you can do so much of handwork for my singing i am sure i can do the same
Samrat thinks-If u knew that your song was just a bet for me..would you still be friends with me?
Gunjan-i heard you talking to benjie

Precap-Samrat talks to benjie about whether he should tell gunjan about the bet and Nupur challenging mayank..

December 16th
Samrat is surprised (and relieved) to know that Gunjan did not hear anything about the 'bet’ but he feels the guilt pangs when he sees Gunjan help him in his studies in her earnest honest ways.
He tries to tell her that he's not the geek type, but just stops short - and finally giving in, and taking the notes. On the other side in class, Aha announces the much awaited pre exams annual event - Mayank sharing his notes with the class! Nupur refuses to take the notes; saying that Mayank cannot have monopoly in being the brainy head and someone else can also come first and in the heated argument that follows she challenges Mayank that in this year's terminals she'll prove that and beat Maynak!
The class is shocked to hear this, people go and express their concerns to Nupur after this fateful challenge she's taken upon herself! Later on when Nupur meets Gunjan that's where she tells her that she'd made the big mistake, and challenged Mayank. Gunjan is shocked to hear that too, but Nupur finally composes herself and says now that she's declared the competition, she'll work, even as she panics about it!
Suffering from the guilt pangs, Samrat on the other side makes yet another effort to tell gunjan all the truth behind the 'bet', but Nupur comes in and takes her away on some urgent work pretext and yet again he is unable to confess his guilt! Finally he reasons to himself, perhaps God doesn't want me to tell her this at all!

December 17th

EP: 38 | Samrat is getting riled with the fact that he'll be caught with the notes and he just doesn't want any threat to his 'cool dude' image. Every time his secret is about to be out, that he is studying, he somehow manages to work his way around.

But He finally decides to meet Gunjan and tell her that it's causing him problems! He asks her to meet him later in the classroom. Nupur after challenging Mayank is hyper with her preparations. She is all psyched with the amount to be studied, but at the same time very determined to beat Mayank! She decides not to sleep all night and as a result of her all night up studying, she lands herself in trouble when she falls asleep in shikla's class!

On the other side, Diya overhears Samrat and Gunjan talk in the class. She gets to know that Samrat had lied to her about a practice match, and was instead with Gunjan exchanging notes! Samrat tells Gunjan not to give her notes in public, and promises that he'll sure study for her, just that his image shouldn't be threatened! Diya fumes as Samrat and Gunjan shake hands over their deal!

December 18th

Diya feels hurt and betrayed that Samrat lied to her about basketball practice and is instead studying with Gunjan. Samrat jokes about studying together, and Gunjan takes this sportingly. They both are very friendly with each other. Diya vows to do something about this.

At home, Nupur is trying to study but is way too bored. Diya comes in as Gunjan enters the room and talks about how Gunjan always helps everyone. Later in private, Diya tells Gunjan that Samrat will probably just think that he'll always have Gunjan's notes, so he can just study the last night before the exams and procrastinate. Gunjan agrees that this is a possibility she didn't think of. Diya says that she should call Samrat frequently to make sure that he's studying.

Later inside Nupur is having a difficult time studying. Uday comes in and shows his magic solution- a voice recorder for recording readings of the chapters so he can listen to his own voice reading the chapter and stay awake. Nupur thinks this is a great idea but Gunjan thinks it's a waste of time and just an excuse not to just sit down and study.

At home, Mayank's mom jokes with him about him thinking about Nupur. When he brushes off the topic again, she says that Nupur's end of the bargain was to do the project- which she did, whether it was with help or without help. And Mayank fulfilled his end of the bargain. So if he made friendship with Nupur again, then he wouldn't have to think about her all the time...
Sammy and the gang are partying at RG's as usual. But Samrat isn't really in a good mood for some reason... (and I think he was drinking. Or at least, that's what it looked like.) Diya and the rest of the gang come and tease Samrat about his notes. Samrat brushes this off angrily saying that they're going too far and just because he's studying doesn't mean that he's turning into a loser or whatever. Diya jokes that Gunjan madam will surely call to check up on her student, and sure enough Gunjan calls. Samrat is really angry because he's been made fun of by his friends and now Gunjan is getting on his case like a nag. Gunjan is very hurt by his behavior.

At college the next day, Samrat is friendly as usual with Gunjan but she wants none of it. She's really angry with him. He apologizes profusely for his behavior yesterday. In Shukla's class, Nupur gets into trouble for talking to herself during a lecture. Meanwhile, Samrat says that he was just a little irritated because his image was getting messed up and he his friends were laughing at him. Gunjan says that she'll keep giving him notes, no matter what he'll do with them. She goes on to say that it really doesn't matter if he looks cool or not, and after all people can still be cool while studying- like Mayank, for example. She says that since he won't have the sense to think about his future, she will help him now because he is her friend. She is MAD MAD MAD and goes away. And Samrat is just like shoot... now what do I do?
