The story revolves around Karthik ( Farhan akhtar ) who works in a construction company. He is basically shy in nature
and could not say 'NO' to anybody. That is his weakness. Everybody takes advantage over him and treats him very
badly.His houseowner asks him to give amount for the maintenance of the lift repeatedly but karthik is not able to refuse
him.Also karthik spent a lot of money for maintaining things in the house which has to be borne by the house owner but
he does not have the courage to tell his house owner.
Karthik's boss ( Ram kapoor ) tells him to prepare a document which is needed the next day morning. Karthik sits late till
night in office , finishes the work and reaches home. While he is sleeping, his boss calls him and tells that the document
he prepared is not for the company which he asked. So he orders him to come back to office and finish that work. Karthik
gets very angry , throws the phone away and goes to office in the night and finishes the work. But the pity is that the
meeting got cancelled next day and the document was not used.
Shonali ( Deepika padukone ) is also working in the same office. Karthik loves for the past 4 years but he don't have the
courage to send even a mail to her. He had written more than 1300 mails to her and stored all in Drafts. Shonali moves
closely with another colleague but she doesn't know that he is already married.
One day karthik's boss scolds him very badly infront of all his colleagues. So karthik leaves office and goes home. He sits
at home for many days doing nothing thinking of his life. He thinks why he should live in this world where nobody is there
to support him. Karthik had a brother. During his childhood days, while karthik and his brother were playing and fighting
with each other,his brother accidentally slips from the top and dies. Karthik feels guilty of himself and he could not erase
this thought which frequently comes to his mind. He meets a psychiatrist and tells her about his problem. She tells
karthik that he is not responsible for his brother's death and gives him lot of advises.
Karthik goes to a phone shop and buys a new phone for his house as the old is broken. Suddenly one night, the newly
bought phone rings. Karthik picks up the phone and says "Hello". The other ends says " Hello. iam karthik". The person in
the other end claims him as Karthik and tells all the things about karthik including his ATM pin number. Karthik could not
believe this. How one can call himself? Let's keep the name of the person who is talking in phone as Karthik II. Karthik II
promises karthik to alter his life and achieve all the things he wants. He also tells karthik not to reveal the conversation
between him and karthik to anyone.
The next day, karthik goes to telephone exchange and asks them the details of the call that he got yesterday. They say
that he did not receive any call yesterday and the last call he received was 4 days back. Karthik is confused on hearing
this. He goes home and waits for the call. Karthik II talks with Karthik daily and slowly increases his confidence, make
him change his appearance, his dressing style etc.
Next day karthik is getting ready to go to his office. On the way he meets his house owner and the house owner asks him
the money for lifts. Karthik immediately replies back that he could not give the money. Instead he tells the house owner
the expenses he had done for his house and asks him to give the money which is more than that of the money he asked
for lift. The house owner is shocked and gives the money to karthik. Karthik congratulates himself for his act and starts to
office.
Everybody in office are staring at the new look of karthik. Karthik enters his boss room. When his boss starts teasing him
as usual, karthik interrupts him and tells him that his license for the construction company is going to expire in 1 day and
all his projects will be unapproved after this.His boss is shocked now and asks some of the employees in the other about
this. As nobody is aware of this, his boss requests karthik to tell the procedure. Karthik demands a seperate cabin and
many facilities for him for doing this. He gets all the facilities in the same day.
One day shonali comes to know that the guy with whom she is moving closely is already married. She is shocked and
feels very bad. On seeing this karthik goes to her and talks with her. Slowly their relationship started to develop and she
starts loving karthik and they spend their time together happily.
Like this, karthik's life is going very happily. One day while shonali is in the house, the phone rings. Karthik knows that is
the usual call from Karthik II and he doesn't want to pick it up infront of Shonali.He slowly tells her about the phone call he
is getting. Shonali is shocked and could not believe this. She tells karthik to see a doctor.After some arguments, karthik
meets his psychiatrist. She could not believe this and tells karthik that she will come the next day to his house and see.
The next day psychiatrist comes to karthik's house and both are waiting for the call. The phone rings at the usual time.
Karthik gives the phone to his doctor. She also hears the voice of karthik II, shocked and she rans away from the house.
When karthik tells these things to shonali, she is not willing to accept it and she agrees to visit karthik's house at the time
of the call. Shonali goes to karthik's house and waits for the call. When the phone rings, shonali prevents karthik from
attending it. But karthik wants to attend the call. But shonali did not allow him to attend the call that day.
The next day karthik eagerly waits for the call. Phone rings. Karthik II tells karthik that he had broken their relationship by
revealing the conversation. Karthik II says, "As a revenge you will lose everything you got because of me. You are finished
Karthik.Wait and see what happens tomorrow". Karthik tells Karthik II to forgive him for the mistake he did but invein.
Karthik goes to office next day. His boss calls him and says "Yesterday night you called and threatened me and my
family. I don't need you anymore. You are dismissed".Karthik says he did not make any call. But his boss does not
believe him. On the way he meets shonali. She tells karthik "You called me yesterday and made fun of all the private talks
we had and described me as a prostitute". He tells the same thing to her that he did not make any call. But she doesn't
believes it. He takes the car to his home and on the way the fuel indicator shows empty. While he tried to put petrol using
his debit card, they say the card has zero balance. Karthik is shocked. In one day, he lost everything he had got.
Karthik gets some money by selling his watch and other things. He asks a person to buy a ticket for him and tells him not
to tell the name of the place but only the platform. He reaches kerala and joins in a small company. His boss there wants
karthik to get a phone for him. Karthik says he could not get a phone as he have some problems.But his boss does not
agree. So he gets a new phone. He sends a mail to Shonali about him and says he is fine and not getting any calls.
Meanwhile karthik's psychiatrist tells shonali that she had found out from whom the call is coming. She says that the
phone has a voice recording facility and repeats the recorded message at the specified time. She tells that karthik is
having some disorder and he calls himself. Shonali is shocked and rushes to karthik's place to find karthik lying down on
floor and had eaten sleeping tablets.
The story ends with karthik and shonali living together normally.
Comments : Although it was interesting in first half the ending is not acceptable. The film is little different from the usual masala films.

One of the all time favourite on screen Bollywood couples are celebrating their birthday this week. While Jayaprada born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh celebrated her birthday on 3rd of April, Jeetendra's birthday falls four days later on 7th of April in Amritsar, Punjab
Though Jayaprada born in 1962 is 20 years younger to Jeetendra born in the year 1942 they probably made the best on screen couple of all time. Other couples who came closing to matching the Jeetendra-Jayapradha pair was Jeetendra himself with Sridevi apart from Amitabh-Rekha though in subsequent years Sharukh Kajol, Anil Kapoor Madhuri pair and Akshya Katrina too became popular but none of these pairs never ever achieved the same level of popularity or success achieved by the Jeetendra-Jayapradha pair. It is a wonderful co incidence that the pair who delivered hits in succession also were born in the same month of April. The late 80s was dominated by the pair of Jeetendra and Jayaprada who gave super hits like Tohfa, Pataal Bhairavi, Singhasan, Swarag Se Sunder, Majaal, Mawali, Sanjog, Sindhoor & Aulad. The pair who shared a wonderful onscreen chemistry acted in 27 movies together, of which almost all movies released in 80s were huge super hits. Apart from movies being huge super hits even the songs in which they were paired together were the most popular during those times and were repeatedly played on loundspeakers during festivals, functions or rallies. The pair looked their best and were the most successful in family oriented movies and what made the pair so popular was the fact that both of them were very good dancers. While it is a known fact that most heroines are very good dancers, heroes those days were not blessed with dancing skills and that is where "Jumping Jack" Jeetendra was an exception. While Jeetendra became famous for his white trousers and white shoes which has been copied by subsequent generations, the beautiful Jayapradha looked the best of the lot in gorgeous sarees.
Let us wish the Jeetendra and Jayapradha, the favourite pair of millions who gave us memorable moments a very very Happy Birthday.

The beauty of visual effects and motion graphics lies in the fact that the options and ideas are limitless. You can create anything you want to and you are bound only by your imagination. Motion Graphics gives the person the power to unleash their mind and bring out their full potential.
Though almost everyone is awed by the power of motion graphics and everyone enjoy seeing graphic intensive films, only some can actually take that as a profession. A profession in graphic design requires lot of patience. Actually you require more patience than interest in the subject. You should be prepared to work hard.
The computer is as dumb as it always was and it just cannot understand want you want it to deliver. It is your job to make it understand your ideas and get the final output. A job in visual effects may mean hours and hours of tweaking the settings in order to get that perfect natural look.
Perfectionists do well in this job though too much of perfectionism might make you work far too much than necessary. Also the more comfortable you are with different aspects of the computer the better. Opportunities in the field are unlimited but quality workers are not.
Our industry is swamped with people who actually don’t have any regard for the art but just do it for the money. They do not have the eye for realism. They just try to accept a job and get over with it. This has lead our visual effects to be of much poorer quality than the worldwide standard.
There are many institutions offering different courses in this regard. Choosing the best one is not a job so easily done. Not getting led away by false claims is the key or selecting a good institution. One thing which we need to remember is the jobs are unlimited and pay is good only for the people who have the talent and who can deliver. People without these qualifications are bound to get disappointed by this wonderful field. So it is always best to select this field only if you really have the interest and patience required by this field. That way it is a sure shot way to prosperity.

Watched Road,Movie today.
And it was fucking awesome. I must say, hats off to Abhay Deo, only he's that courageous in the whole Bollywood Industry to act in a Tarantino style movie.
Also, Dev Benegal directed one hell of a damn good movie.
The movie is dry and slow, but, thats the kind of movies i love to watch, the contemporary Cinema.
The movie starts off very well, and what he encounters and learns how to acclimatize to the situations and well, all the other stuff is for you all to figure out,. I cant tell one bit of this BEAUTIFUL movie.
2 Things I can say for sure, firstly, NOT ONE, Mark my words, NOT ONE dialogue and Screenplay in this movie is un-necessary. All the things, scenes are beautifully crafted and roped in this movie. All in all its a LIFE's JOURNEY.
And Secondly, In my view its India's answer to QT's Inglourious Basterds

This isnt a roller-coaster Road Movie. If you are watching it expecting some roller-coaster ride, then DO NOT watch it.
Is it a novel tale about touring cinema? Sadly, despite immense potential, it’s neither of the two.
This one is mediocre middle-of-the-road movie. And that is the VERY reason why I loved this movie. Otherwise, it would have became very stereotypical. You cant actually read and guess that whats gonna happen next. Right through the movie you'll scratch your heads out as to what movie wanna convey to us, and towards the end you'll feel like some damn fool, as right from the start of the movie Benegal sends out his signals loud and clear, but, you cant actually catch it.
As the story unfolds, you'l learn that its actually a life's journey, however some of the incidents in th movie may seem bizzare and unrealistic but sadly they arent. This movie shows...aaaahh!!..I'll tell you no more as it will make you biased then.
Go, watch it and then reply back to me.
Leave the fucking critics, if QT would have directed this movie, critics would have given it 5 stars to which they gave only 1.
But then, this movie is made targeting a particular audience only and I am pretty much sure that this kinda audience is abundant
