Boss (E) Baskaran - Movie Review

No comments on “Boss (E) Baskaran - Movie Review”

Watched the morning show here in Chennai. Aarya and Santhanam makes the first half a laugh riot. Though there are no interesting things happening the dialogues does the trick. Slows down a little in the second half though. Its a harmless fun to watch. Lot of references to old Tamil movies, mockery at its best. Santhanam in top form with his trademark dialogues. Arya looks uber cool but same cant be said for Nayanthara. One of the hopeless characters in the flick. Songs are pretty decent and so as the BackGround score. Most of the movie feels like watching SMS with a different cast, Santhanam being an exception. At the end of the day, if all you need is pure fun without looking for anything else, then Boss Enkira Baskaran fits the bill perfectly.Thank god that they avoided wine shop scenes. I wouldn't rate Arya higher for his attempt. He was decent but come on, show some emotions. Santhanam on the other hand is the real hero of the movie. He did make us laugh without his standalone double meaning dialogues. No glamor from Nayan  but she was good. Overall, a good movie which will be a success in the box office.

Direction - director was trying to make the movie with Santhanam’s comedy alone and also has heavily tried Tamil Padam type spoof movie .
Music and BGM - were good , Mama mama songs was badly shot .

alt
Arya - no match to Jeeva and comic reactions.
Jeeva - good guest appearance
Vverdict : one time watch definitely and Santhanam guarantees it

Though I saw some good reviews for Boss Engira Baskaran, I personally felt that the movie was not as entertaining as told in many reviews.Definitely there are good amount of laugh bursts and some interesting scenes, but overall, the movie was not a complete entertainer. Aarya, Casual acting. Jolly character and Aarya has done a decent job. But definitely there was room for improvement. In some scenes, he was trying hard to get the humor out.

The screenplay could have been taut. Having unwanted twist like entry of Jeeva in the climax could have been avoided. Also there are not enough scenes to justify why an educated lecturer gets impressed by an aimless youth. Arya has a voice modulation which is very much suitable for comedy. He is improving himself in each movie.Santhanam is the pillar of the movie. Without him this movie could have become a damp squib.Nayantara and other characters have done their part well.Yuvan Shankar Raja fails to impress. Three songs (introduction, song in marriage, and the last fast number) can be called as average ones.Other songs are not even average.  Apt songs have been used in hilarious sequences.Overall a watchable full length comedy entertainer. There has been a very good response for this film in the theaters. All the college student groups which visit the theater say “Nanbenda” after the climax.

Music Review of Anjaana Anjaani

No comments on “Music Review of Anjaana Anjaani”

Anjaana Anjaani is the upcoming Bollywood movie produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Siddharth Anand of Bachna Ae Haseeno fame. The sound track of the film Anjaana Anjaani starring Priyanka chopra,Ranbir Kapoor and Zayed Khan is composed by the music director duo Vishal Shekhar. The album has totally 9 tracks. 15022_220pxAnjaanaanjaani1_1284569603
'Anjaana Anjaani ki Kahani':
Coming to the title track  'Anjaana Anjaani ki Kahani' is sung by Monali Thakur, Nikhil D'Souza. There isn't much to boast of in terms of music. The club song must have been better though it tries to impress the listeners by its jazzy feel I am not impressed by it inspite of listening to the song .Its life period is only until the promo. The song picturised in a club on Priyanka chopra, Ranbir Kapoor has some impressive dance steps though ( Rating 2 out of 5)
'Hairat'
While the title track is a complete let down the song ,'Hairat' completely takes over your mind. It may be due to the voice of Lucky Ali who is working very selectively . It seems the best of his voice is kept for Ranbir. Like he has sung earlier for Ranbir the sound track 'Ahista Ahista' in Bachna Ae Haseeno'. The track has an instant connect and the feel is left with you even after the song is over. It leaves you wanting more of Lucky Ali.( Rating 5 out of 5)
'Aas Paas Khuda'
Coming to 'Aas Paas Khuda' , sung by Rahat Fateh Ali khan starts on a note similar to Aji Din chadeya from Love Aaj Kal. The song has a sufiana feel and is quite good. What has particularly impressed is music of the stanzas. It impresses in parts.( Rating 3 out of 5)
'Tumse Hi Tumse'
'Tumse Hi Tumse' sung by Shekhar Ravjiani, Caralisa Monteiro is the underrated song. It has a good feel throughout the song and the song is somewhat similar to 'Jaane Kyun' from Dostana. This song shows how they can create three versions using the same feel 'Jaane Kyun' from Dostana , 'Jab mila Tu' from IHLS and 'Tumse Hi Tumse'( Rating 3.5 out of 5)
Tujhe Bhula Diya'
'Tujhe Bhula Diya' is perhaps the second best remembered of the songs next to 'Hairat'. Sung by Mohit Chauhan, Shekhar Ravjiani and Shruti Pathak the song will be a block buster along with 'Hairat'.( Rating 4 out of 5)
'I Feel Good'
'I Feel Good' feels like an English song out of an English Album. It is not bad but is not worth remembering either.( Rating 2.5 out of 5)
'Anjaana Anjaani'
'Anjaana Anjaani' by Vishal Dadlani and Shilpa Rao is quiet good but it doesn't sound unique. It sounds similar to other tracks and may not stand out.( Rating 2.5 out of 5)
'Tujhe Bhula Diya - Remix'
Tujhe Bhula Diya - Remix' is also quiet good. It retains the original and doesn't lose its flavour. However the original is too good that it doesnt stand out when compared to original.( Rating 3 out of 5)
'Aas Paas Khuda - Unplugged'
Shruti Pathak who is impressed in 'Tujhe Bhula Diya ' returns with 'Aas Paas Khuda - Unplugged' along with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. It sounds more like 'Bin Tere' from IHLS. ( Rating 3 out of 5)
Final Verdict
Finally an impressive album from Vishal Shekhar. This is worth listening and am looking forward for the film excitedly. Considering its a road movie , the feel is peppy and after separation the feel is that of pain. The best tracks are 'Hairat', 'Tujhe Bhula Diya' and 'Tumse Hi Tumse'. Final rating for the album is 3.5 out of 5 stars

This is also an unforgettable character that would be caught by the police for interrogation. When he reveals his name as “Micheal Jackson”, he faces many problems. This is a very funny character in this film.

This is a very funny and ever lasting character. This character would be very close to the present trend Software Engineers. It is a very funny and important character in this film.

Jalsa “Pranav - The Head Constable”

A funny and very sympathy character that would be facing problems because of the hero’s torture is this character.

Theaters Vs Latest Released Movies

Theaters Vs Latest Released Movies

Theatre. This is a place where people would just go to spend some time for enjoying and get some entertainment by watching movies. In the recent times, these movies and the film actors are getting a lot of craze and were treated as demigods. And what if their Latest Movie hits the theatre.

This is the condition presently experienced in Andhra Pradesh, from the Tollywood. The main reason is that there is a very huge feast for all the movie lovers. In a month, there are four movies being released to entertain in theatres. This might be a very good feast to the movie lovers, but it is of great problem and loss to the film technical persons.

theatre

WHAT IS THE ISSUE??
The main issue arises here. For the movie to run successfully, there needs THEATRES all around the state.

Komaram Puli
Komaram Puli is the heavy budget movie released this 10-September-2010. This movie has great themes in it. This is the first movie for Allu Aravid as Producer after the great block blaster hit of MagaDheera, along with RameshIt is the first movie to show hero Pavan Kalyan as Police Officer. It is the first combination of A.R.Rahaman and Pavan Kalyan. With these heavy expectations on this movie, it has hit the theatres with great success. The review of this movie is very encouraging. As this is the first movie of this month, there is no problem for this movie to fetch for theatres.

komaram

Robot
Robot is the latest movie in Shankar's direction, starring RajniKanth and Ishwarya Rai Bachan. This movie has been produced by Kalanithi Maran and Hansraj Saxena under Sun Pictures. As the music composed by A.R.Rahaman has already been proved to be a very good hit, the expectations has been increased much. This movie is expected to be released in third week of September, 24-September-2010. This is also heavy budget movie that has very heavy expectations all around the world as this movie is tipped to be a science fiction movie.Coming to the Tollywood, this movie has been bought by the Telugu publisher for about 27 Crores to Andhra Pradesh. To get back the invested amount, the publisher needs almost 800 theatres all around Andhra. But as there is a competitive and successful movie "Komaram Puli" already running in theatres, it would be very difficult for the publisher to get the theaters. It is a very great problem as "Rajni" has fans all over India. As Pavan Kalyan is a very hyped actor and had very good following in Andhra, it is very difficult to remove his successfully running movie from the theatres.

robot

Brundavanam
Brundavanam is the first movie of Junior NTR after his super hit movie of "Adurs". It has very heavy expectations due to the very rare and new combination of Jr.NTR as hero and Vamsi, Dil Raju as directors. This movie is expected to hit theaters on 01-October-2010. As Jr. NTR is a very hyped upcoming actors and has very good expectations on this movie due to the special and interesting talks that has been circulated on this movie. The problem that is present is that, as Pavan's "Komaram Puli" and Rajni's "Robot" would be showing in theatres already. Due to this, there is a very great scarce of theatres for this movie. This movie has very heavy expectations already being present. Not only this, there is a problem to get back the collections for this movie. This movie needs at least three complete weeks to get back the collections, if no competitor present. As there is a very heavy competition of two heavy budget movies running in theaters by this time, this movie would have very dry days in the coming days to hit on theatres.

brindavanam

Khaleja
Khaleja is the much hyped movie too. This is a very hit combination coming back again after "Athadu". Hero Mahesh Babu and Director "TriVikram Srinivas" has a very hit movie Athadu in 2005. They want to hit back with this hit pair. This movie is expecting to release its audio by 12-September-2010 and release the movie by second week of October. The main problem for this movie is that there would be absolutely no theatres free for running this movie due to the already present movies of Pavan's "Komaram Puli", Rajni's "Robot" and Jr.NTR's "Brundavanam". This is a very huge problem for this movie. The main solution that has been seen is to potpone the movie release by atleast one month. But this is not the easy solution as this postponement would give a great loss for the producer Ramesh. As this is the second movie of Ramesh, after "Komaram Puli", he cannot decide which movie to slip down. This is a very sentimental problem too.

khaleja

Hope to see these movies strike on theaters and experience the final result what the audience would give to these movies. The final decision to make the movie hit is left in the hands of the movie lovers and fans. Let us just enjoye all the four movies and see the final verdict of the Tollywood fans.
