EASTER EGGS AND SOME TRICKS WITH Ms-Office2000

Know what is an EASTER EGG:

Well...Its one of the greatest things that you ever want to testify. An easter egg is an international hidden messages or hidden jokes or even a separate hidden feature available along with books,CD/DVD,movie,video,softwares,webpage,games and many more....Now what we are looking is some fun with easter eggs on MS-OFFICE 2000.....but there are some codes available....such as:( all subjected and tested )

1.WINDOWS 98 Easter Egg!!:


1. Right-click an empty space on your Desktop.  
2. Select New > Shortcut from the context menu.
3. In the Command line field, type the following line, exactly as it appears:
'C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\WELCOME\WELDATA.EXE' You_are_a_real_rascal
4. Click Next and then Finish.
5. Edit the Properties for this shortcut.
6. Change the Run field to Minimised. Also, make sure that the Start in field shows 'C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\WELCOME'.
7. Double-click the shortcut and enjoy the Easter Egg.

2.Word 2000 Easter Egg:

1. Press the [F1] key or click the Office
Assistant button.
2. Under the 'What would you like to do?', type 'Cast'.
3. Click Search.
4. Select the 'Microsoft Office 2000 user assistance staff' topic.
5. Click the graphic in the Microsoft Word Help screen.

3.Excel 2000 Easter Egg:


Check out the people who made PowerPoint 2000.
1. Click Help > About Microsoft Powerpoint.
2. Hold down [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Shift] and triple-click
the background lines in the text box.

4.PowerPoint 2000 Easter Egg:


Check out the team that made Excel 2000.
1. In Excel, open a new spreadsheet.
2. Press [F5] to open the Goto function.
3. Type X2000:L2000 in the reference box. Click OK.
4. Press [Tab]. You should now be at cell M2000.
5. Hold down [Ctrl]+[Shift] and click the Chart Wizard.
6. Exit by hitting [Esc].

While using windows how can we refresh folders and icon,many of the people searching for it,now i have the answer here.

1. Copy the following (everything in the box) into notepdad.

3. Double click the file to import into your registry.

While Browsing on the net,we come across many webpages,most of the web pages not saved properly,to save any webpage into pdf format follow the below steps.

what you need:adobe acrobat 6 pro or better popupcop
there may be a simpler way to do this but i found that this works:
when at a webpage that you want to copy (YOU MUST BE USING IE AND HAVE BOTH POPUPCOP INSTALLED AND ADOBE ACROBAT 6 PRO OR HIGHER, ACROBAT ICON MUST BE IN IE TOOLBAR TO CONVERT TO .PDF), slide popupcops popup intensity bar to the far left, now click on adobe acrobat icon to convert webpage to .pdf document.

Hello friends are using DOS,this is a simple but most forgotton command to create
files like "config.sys" and "autoexec.bat" files, you are searching how,here is the answer
Even if u dont have a dos boot disk u can work ur way
to some extent.
********************************************
At c:\ prompt
type
copy con config.sys
devicehigh=c:\dos\himem.sys
device=c:\dos\setver.exe
devicehigh=c:\dos\emm386.exe ram
dos=high,umb
last drive=z
then press CTRL + z
press enter
Config.sys file will be created.
********************************************
Similarly u can create autoexec.bat
@echo off
prompt=$P$G
path=c:\dos;c:\
lh mouse
lh doskey
Press CTRL + Z
**********************************************

Most of as using Windows XP as our default operating system,but the boot is long.so if you want to boot the  Winxp Fast follow the below procedure

Follow the  steps:

1. Open notepad.exe, type "del c:\windows\prefetch\ntosboot-*.* /q" (without the quotes) & save as "ntosboot.bat" in c:\

2. From the Start menu, select "Run..." & type "gpedit.msc".

3. Double click "Windows Settings" under "Computer Configuration" and double click again on "Shutdown" in the right window.

4. In the new window, click "add", "Browse", locate your "ntosboot.bat" file & click "Open".

5. Click "OK", "Apply" & "OK" once again to exit.

6. From the Start menu, select "Run..." & type "devmgmt.msc".

7. Double click on "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"

8. Right click on "Primary IDE Channel" and select "Properties".

9. Select the "Advanced Settings" tab then on the device or 1 that doesn't have 'device type' greyed out select 'none' instead of 'autodetect' & click "OK".

10. Right click on "Secondary IDE channel", select "Properties" and repeat step 9.

11. Reboot your computer.

Now your booting speed is faster when compared to before..
