Mysore is an excellent tourist place to visit especially during the dasara festival. Golden throne of the king is open to public only during dasara festival. During dasara the mysore palace will be decorated with lights for the 9 days.It is a very pleasant experience to watch this.Also elephants and chariots will be decorated and will go for procession during dasara. One should plan for 3 to 4 days to see the places in and around mysore.
