Recently there was a report about government schools having no proper toilet facilities and the teachers and students had to go into the nearby woods where there were wild cats and foxes which made them very frightened. the MLA concerned of course gave the standard response 'we will look into it ...
it seems everyone is complaining about bathrooms
i think, it's not an issue in Kerala schools. here, all people including low class want their kids to study in English medium.
that's why such public schools are 'endangered'
Kerala being a very small state such a thing may be possible but I have read reports saying that even there, there is a problem with lack of toilets in cities like Cochin and Calicut...this is there everywhere in our country, the statistics being different to different states..
The toilets are the most neglected aspect in India, sanitation facilities are not at all considered important, the attitude is just go wherever you can and that is why women especially face a lot of problems while travelling. I find it really really shameful. So the same state of affairs exist in schools as well, not surprising at all.
In AP a market yard as encroached into a school premises an it has become impossible for the students to study. And the authorities are seeing the fun. An incompetent lot.

Most of the Government schools are in worst condition. But very few of those have been brought up to god condition by few volunteers, alumnis and Non Governmental Organizations.
Born to express, not to impress.

The greatest road-block to any efforts on the part of the government is the sense of security that a government job entails. You look at any institution which enjoys state patronage and see the state of affairs - all are the same! Insensitivity, arrogance and indolence are the common attributes which dominate the characters of all officials.

To tell you frankly seeing the condition of Government School and Teachers their it is worse then Private school. Every one prefer to send their children to Private school

They may have increased these standard but they are still not good if we compare them with private schools they lack facilities and good teachers. Government is trying to improve and raise their standard but still there is something missing or lacking in the efforts.

In anything any kind of change may occur but for government school there will be no change in their studies.

No there has been lots of changes in government schools but still they are still very much behind private schools. I think the gap in private and government schools is very wide and it seams that it can't be reduced so easily.

Its a common attitude in our government sector Rambabuji which leads to the poor quality of literates in all over India which is an obstacle in the development of our country.
