If you type a keyword in the search box then your site must be at the first place.
for example, if you type jobs in the google then the first site appear is naukri site. So when any person what to know about jobs and that person type jobs in the google and some websites appear on the google search engine page. Then what that person do? that person will go one by one site browsing to get the job information. So as naukri site is at the first, so the person first browse the naukri website and try to get the information like that up to 10 sites people will go. So when our website is at the first position for the keyword which enduser use then we get more traffic to our site. this will happen when we make our website search engine friendly

Actually this is such a wide subject with so much to learn, actually there is nothing that can be said with 100% surety. When I checked Google, I found over a million sites had keyword seo in the URL or page title. It's really tough to out-rank that has many similar pages on the whole web. Some times even I become confused whether I did them or some one else, then I check the name- oh this is not by suni-me.
