Rahul Mahajan's hunt for a perfect bride on TV is over as the reality show star picked Bengali girl Dimpy Ganguly to tie the knot in true Bollywood style.

Mahajan, who has had a troubled past with drug abuse charges and an acrimonious marriage and divorce from childhood friend Shweta Singh, hopes that it is a “happily ever after” for him.

Mahajan chose 21-year-old Dimpy, a model and dancer, over Nikunj Malik, 25, and Harpreet Chhabra, 20, on reality TV show ‘Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega' broadcast by NDTV Imagine.

Rahul decided to go ahead with his wedding despite the recent death of his uncle Praveen Mahajan, who was convicted for killing his politician father Pramod Mahajan in 2006.

The Bengali-style wedding was held in a luxurious Mumbai suburban hotel on Saturday night and the couple wore outfits designed by famous fashion designers Ashley Rebello, Neeta Lulla and Vikram Phadnis.

Rahul (34), who is facing drug abuse charges, had requested a Delhi court for releasing his passport so that his wife and he could spend their honeymoon in the Maldives.

‘GREAT FEELING'

“It's a great feeling. I am both excited and nervous. I really believe marriages are made in heaven and this time I'll give whatever I have to make my wife happy. It is going to be happily ever after,” he had said. Dimpy, who was a favourite due to her “crackling chemistry” with Rahul, said she was always confident of being ‘Mrs. Mahajan' as she knows how to handle the media better than the other contestants.

So you should not write this present on another site. I don't like this kind of your activities. This is not a copyright matter ok. Its just and news.
Hello Mr Lohit Seth,

Please refer the content submission guidelines:

I have nothing against you. Yet, this is also a fact that if we post content from some other website, on our own name by copy-paste method, without typing a word and earn points or cash credits then it is spamming. This is against community guidelines and ethics of internet civic codes.

This is a social web site where millions of visitors are expected to read contents posted by us. It would be better if we post only self written contents. News items can be reproduced in one or two lines of the text giving full description of the web page from where we have copied it. In addition to that we should provide a hyper-link to the original web page where the article has been published.

The original news item has also been written by some journalist and he / she and the website carrie the copyright of the intellectual property. By copying it we violate the copyright of the writer and publisher and are liable for action based on the copyright act.

I have typed this entire post myself without copying it from anywhere. It needs about a couple of minutes for typing and we are expected to do that.

dear its a news only.. So that news is better then my written material so i have given. No need to say anything because also no body say about it.
I think members need to be familiar with the latest provisions of the Copyright Act before making any use of information or matters belonging to other original sources. With the WTO regime fully in place it has got international ramifications.Althoughthe Copyright Act provides certain exceptions to infringement viz.,to enable the encouragement of private study and research towards promotion of education, all of us should be extraordinarily careful in this regard just not to be caught on the wrong side of the law!
Apart from copyright, there is no use just giving an information which is already on major newspapers and all are expected to know. In these columns, we need comments on the news and not news as such. The comment could be about desirability of swayamvar as held by Rakhi Samvant some time back and now by Rahul Mahajan. I believe that such so called reality shows are nothing but caricature of ancient wedding systems. These are cheap and demeaning as well as against our cultural and social traditions.

Here in this thread two conversations going on!!!One on the news and another on the copy right violations!!!

Yes abid- As the news has been reproduced verbatim, copy right matter also is involved. In my opinion, it is no use giving any news as such because most of us read newspapers and watch T.V. Our contribution lies in discussing the news. we should discuss and not report only particularly by copy and paste technique. As regards my views, I feel that the marriage ceremony of dimple Ganguly and Rahul mahajan is a fun of marriage practices. Swayamwar was the method of selection of groom by bride and not the other way.
