Australia's batting coach Justin Langer has been tipped as a strong contender to succeed India's current head coach, South African Gary Kirsten, who is expected to resign after the World Cup after a largely successful stint.

Cricket Australia's failure to offer full-time jobs to all its national team coaches could cost it the services of Langer.

"If BCCI ( Board of Control for Cricket in India) thinks I am capable of such a big role, it augurs well for my confidence. I have a lot to give back to the game. Coaching the most popular cricket team in the world would be great," a Mumbai based paper quoted Langer, as saying.

If India go on to win a World Cup then contract of Gary kirsten should get extended as this will be biggest achievement for India of winning world cup.
As Gary said before he would resign because he wants to spend time with his family, Langer might be a good option.
Why Kristen is moving out?. Is his contract period over?. India has been doing well under the coaching of gary kristen.
I think personalities from South Africa and Australia will be good to Indian team for psychological preparation.

Kirsten has done a wonderful job and he has clearly made his point long ago to up step down as coach. It will be great to have an Indian Coach.
Both Kirsten and Captain will be in trouble if India defeated by Aussies today.
