Any reason why they use Reserve Police instead of armed forces because the Police force may never come anywhere close to army men in both fitness and discipline ! Very true Usha, the army is not used against Maoists because of political backlash as opposition will say that army is used against 'own people'. Unfortunatly police forces are a failure and I am saddened hundreds are killed by Maoists. Government and Modi have to use the iron fist i.e. the army and give it a free hand , not like in kashmir. China is the big trouble maker and till we match China and over awe Pakistan there wont be respite.

 

These are sensitive problems that laymen would never understand and for them what is fed by the politicians and the media is the truth ! I wish our leaders as you rightly point out deal with such insurgencies with a iron fist . I would guess that it also depends on the state leaders as to how they handle these situations .

What these politicians expect ? Maoists should be invited and garlanded ? If Modi really wants to keep the country safe and secure, Army should be given absolute freedom and be allowed to decide Army Chief what should be best course to deal with Maoists or any Terrorist activities. The Government should not allow any politician to intervene when it comes to security of the Country.

Anil, we were talking about Babu Saroj's attitude, diverted from the actual topic because of his indiscriminate posting merely to collect points. But that issue is closed at least for now. So let us go back to original discussion.

How can we go back, instead he is back a bit early this time.

Everyone in government job is trying to take full advantage of Modi because they know he is in no position to say NO. Everyone is trying to have his caste reserved for government benefits because they know Modi is not in a position to say NO. Everyone is trying to take as many advantage as possible because this government gives up easily. 

Kindly elaborate, why this government gives up easily.

My best guess is they have to make up for misdoings of last 60+ years, simple as that. Everyone is expecting better days if you please!

It is not humanly possible to satisfy everyone fully. There needs be some justification for every demand and also the overall resources of nation need be considered. If you try satisfy all to the full, nobody will be satisfied. The govt. has done enough for army. The pay and pension benefits have been constantly improved from time to time.The current govt. has done best according to circumstances. The army chiefs should also restrain themselves and realize that govt. has some limitation.

Naturally. " ACCHE DIN" are expected. In fact they already started appearing. The hard work put in started appearing. Still, there is more to be done. especially, after the completion of 2 years of Modi Government. At this juncture, an introspection is highly essential. Modi Government has to look back and see how much of its efforts for Good governance was done and how much of work still to be done.

I didn't expect Army to join opposition despite having best of everything or joining the game of blackmailing a selfless person. This demand coming from services is limit of the greed  at this stage of affairs.  

Every one is greedy for something or the other. Your selfless person is greedy for power army is greedy for perks and so on.

Haha and I hought he was man from a selfless state like Gujarat and you will have to agree with me that Gijaratis are generally selfless or lesser corrupt! say no to prove me wrong

Yaar which world are you living in. What makes you think Gujarat is a selfless state? It is as selfish as any other state. They are not any less corrupt than others. The difference is that they do not make noise about it and have accepted it as an unavoidable expense. Being more business oriented larger percent of population are more secure financially. Today also the corruption is there here also. Last week a municipal official was caught and  he had built some half a dozen houses all during the rule of your selfless person. you seem to have fallen prey to the successful marketing exercise by the party in power. Wake up.
