This guide will show you how to manually configure Outlook 2010 with your Exchange account.

How to
1. Click on the Windows Start button.
2. Right-click on the Microsoft Outlook Email icon and then select Properties. MSO10_MConfig_1

Note: if you are using Windows 7, please ignore this step. Instead, go to your (Windows) Control Panel and double-click on Mail.

3. Click on Add. MSO10_MConfig_2
4. Enter a name in the Profile name field and then click on OK. MSO10_MConfig_3
5. Click on Manually configure server settings or additional server types and then click on Next. MSO10_MConfig_4
6. Click on Microsoft Exchange and then click on Next. MSO10_MConfig_5
7. Enter vmbx121 in the Microsoft Exchange server field. MSO10_MConfig_6
8. Check the box Use Cached Exchange Mode.
9. Enter your email address in the User Name field, and then click on More Settings.
10. Select the Connection tab and then check the box Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP. MSO10_MConfig_7
11. Click on Exchange Proxy Settings.
12. Enter webmail.Name.net in the Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange field.
13. Check the box On fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP.
14. Change NTLM Authentication to Basic Authentication and then click on OK. MSO10_MConfig2007_8
15. Click on Apply and then on OK.
