Our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, is a man of action.  He talks about cutting down Government expenditure.  He does not mince words with poor performers and is known to be a very good administrator.

His "Make in India" is a good campaign.  However, we should try to support him.

May readers point some some good case studies that can be of interest to all readers?  If specific cases of export are known to us more than we now know them, the same entrepreneurs can be encouraged to go in for foreign collaboration, and look for diversification, and then go for exports with new products, as we can earn precious foreign exchange.

The TVS group of Chennai is a glorious example, of one conglomerate that makes products for every auto major, in the world.  Can we think of such examples in a big way?

All entrepreneurs work for profit. They will make in India anything that has demand in India and abroad. The issue is simply of facing competition. We may like to 'make in India'. Others will also similarly like make in their own country. Utimately foreign trade depens on relative economic advantage. We can manufacture only such items as have more relative economic advantahe over other. We have to import what others can make cheaper. Geographical and other conditions matter.

With the introduction of Tata Nano, Make in India concept has a strong and successful example to start with. This should be taken as a good example and followed in other services and products to make this concept a success.

In India we have lot of solar power. We have make solar energy vehicles a lot to reduce the petrol and diesel price and never buy those things from foreign countries. If solar energy is fully utilized we will have lot of new inventions. Using solar energy we can use solar gas for kitchen purpose and did not depend on the LPG market price. If government concentrate on solar system more and reduce the subsidy it will flourish the field more and new inventions will be increase like a cell phone in every person hand. Companies are very much eager to do this project but the cost is high.

Am told that the cost of solar energy, though high in the initial stage, will actually come down, with increased usage.  Yes, Sir.  You are right.  The Government needs to give bigger subsidies, now that the coal reserves of our country are fast drying up.

Atomic energy is best avoided and the new Central Government should do all that is possible, to put all future atomic energy projects on hold, because of environment and safety concerns.

Let us concentrate on all basic issues.  Can we encourage entrepreneurship in every small way, and then go about manufacturing everything in India, so that we can demonstrate to the world, how good a place India is, to make?

Can readers please come out with success stories in this regard?

In Toy making and Traditional Indian art like Rajasthani miniatures India is exporting them in a large scale and earning lot of Foreign exchange.

Kondapalli, Kalankari and Nirmal paintings are a few examples.

Yes Sir, thanks for your information Sir.

Several types of auto ancillaries and in the forging industry, we are also globally competitive.  The suppliers to such industries are also globally competitive.  Perhaps we need some advanced technology in some areas, and it is in this respect that we need to explore more possibilities.
