Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose born and brought up in Puri, coastal district of Odisha, in Gopalballav Road, near sea beach Puri, two storeyed building of his father, stands out from the rest. It was almost 150 years old and should be a national heritage, surprisingly life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is shrouded in mystery. here is the screen shot of his ancestral parental home, in which he stayed till the age of ten.    it is also speculated that he lived his last life nearer to his ancestral home as a famous saint, in Puri town, and he lived for about his last ten years.

Never heard that he lived as a saint!! But his death was certainly a mysterious one. It is believed that he survived the aircraft accident but was taken as a prisoner by the Soviet union. Some also says that he had spent his last days at japan. If i am not mistaken, i think last year, there was some request to the Government to make public the documents related to his last days
Many rumours came up after the plane crash of Netaji while escaping from the Britishers. I like the photo of Netaji's ancestral house. This is nice.
My salutes to this real patriot of India who laid out his life fighting all the way against the British.

Jabeen, there are many versions about how Netaji's spent his last days after supposedly surviving the air crash, but none of them could be refuted so far since there were no concrete evidences or witnesses, except for some circumstantial evidence with no solid proof. But I did read about a version that says Netaji was indeed taken by the Soviet Union as a prisoner, later on released, he then spent some time in Japan and then made his way back to India where he lived like a hermit, clad in saffron and in complete solitude. There are many oldtimers who swear to presence of a Baba something (I think he was called Mauni Baba because he never spoke a word) with strong, uncanny resemblance to Netaji.

The Baba's authenticity was questioned. Even his DNA proved that the Baba was not Netaji.

Incidentally, Puri MLA is the tourism minister, and five cores will be spent to renovate his ancestral home and largest collections of related to Netaji's life would be there as a museum. Hopefully, all these announcement will see light of the day.

If the minister's promises are materialized, it would be the biggest tribute to Netaji.
