Friends we work here too seriously. We don't post the funny answers. I think this can be one of the reasons behind loosing the interest on this site.

It may be the reason why I lost interest.

But its more due to less participation of people on the site these days.

That is not very complementary to the site since you see enough people participating and discussing even humorous topics of course there are no silly threads like there were before which went on and on about nothing in particular :)

Silly threads?

I don't think there were as if were would have been locked or were locked.

May be 80% of them were of that category in my opinion, when something becomes a norm you go with the flow .....LOL :cheer:

I don't agree I notice the same level as it used to be in the past may be the members now have changed but things are still the same.

I hought you were speaking about less participation... :

Participation also has decreased I feel as leader of the week used to have points more than 4000 a week which I don't see these days.

Thank god for that ! Just goes to show how quality has taken over quantity now....all for the betterment of the site in the long run !

Less quantity does not mean that quality has decreased.its mis - conception that quantity kills quality.

I dont know whose mis conception that is but having seen both trends , before and now, I know how quanity killed quality...

How?

But this is fact its not always true that someone who can write quantity may not give quality.

For a starter you can go through some of the older threads and see fr yourself....Quantity was the foremost then, sometimes only avtaars were posted, you know very well ...People simply wanted to amss points without actually posting anything worthwhile many a times discussing personal matters ...

Always using avataars is not good but to some them on some posts if fits well I don't think its bad to use it after all we all here to enjoy the site always writing serious contents leads to boredom. I always have enjoyed forums on various sites through talking to friends and you know it well.

Of course by now I know very well....what is boredom for some my be pleasurable for some and here we are now having a right balance of good discussions both knwoledge based and light humorous ones, but then only an active member will realise that ... :)

True. When right balance is struck, an active member realises and relishes too. For them question of boredom or monotony doesn't arise.

It happens with the active members too. It may happen with anyone it all depends on the availability of time.

Right now I have all the time at my disposal because of local unrest, my offline jobs are drastically reduced. My mood is the same when there was just 2 hours at my disposal as today. And it will be like this irrespective of the time at my disposal.

May not be possible. Once normalcy is restored in my state, I'll be busy with my offline jobs which are more in number.

True, noone is forcing you to participate , you do so because you like it and while doing that we have to also keep certain things in mind like the rules and regulations of the forum and our own responsibilities ....You cant post something out of context and say I like doing it ! That sounds very immature !

hehehe.. I am an active member but I still don't realize it.

Can you please tell me?.

May be you should look harder to realize it ... :cheer:
Friends site can never be boring. It is the members who don't make it interesting with their posts. Many of us work with full dedications. Many of us have quitted it due to various reasons. That makes the site boring. Few of us can have just a discussion on less topics. Many of us can posts many and give a number of choices to discuss. I feel this can be the main cause behind this.

A site can be interesting or monotonous depends upon the members' activities with their quality inputs or otherwise. respectively. It amounts to the fact that the member plays a pivotal role in making the site interesting or monotonous. A single member cannot do this. A concerted effort by all the members will certainly make a big difference.
We have the choice to answer those posts which attract our attention or prompt us to make contribution. If we post just for the sake of posting, I am hundred percent sure that will be only to gain points and the quality, well - you can imagine the quality of a filler for yourself.

The best way is not to post only for points. There is no need to post if you have nothing to contribute by way or response or original theme. One must log in and find posts that interest him and give respone. Also while surfing other sites or mixing with people, some ideas come to your mind. Many of these can be topic for discussion.

You are contradicting your self sunil....http://www.boddunan.com/forum/26-humor-a-jokes/240708-how-to-beat-respectable-rambabu.html
This is what you said there - Even if they are doing it for earning money, there is nothing wrong in that. After all on line work is considered as respectable now and trust me it's not an easy job.

I strongly agree still with Suny as one can do it for points as most of us are here to earn some money from the site and it should be moderator who should judge if the person is breaking rules otherwise everything is fair.

Moderators alone are not responsible for judging if the member is violating the rules of the house or not. Members too have equal responsibility. Losing the interest on a particular site reflects the member's failure of identifying his own interests.

Whatever may be your interests and likings, they should be in tune with the house rules. It's true in every sphere of life. Be it in a forum or in the home.

I am very clear about this point, it's 100% your choice where you want to place your answer as in this case you have chosen me for an answer. As far earning money is concerned, we all are here for the same purpose. When you posted this particular answer, it earned you point which is money ultimately. And when you posted this answer it took your efforts. And I always thought that as long as we concentrated on topics and posted accordingly, there is no harm.
