Digvijay singh, congress leader wants C&AG to revise his loss estimates. But he forgets that once the C&AG submits his report, his job is over. It is for Public accounts Committee of parliament to accept or reject or modify the report.

Moreover, there is no sense in frequently bringing C&AG in lime light. C&AG as well as other authorities not only need to perform their job honestly and efficiently but also refrain from publicity and leaking anything to media.

This is very true. As far as I understand, all politicians are doing anything that comes to their mind for the sake of coming elections.

It may be a trick. However, each and every citizen has the rights to express his/her own views or demands. If it is legal and beneficial to country, CAG may revise its estimates.

Born to express, not to impress.

Yes Devyani. Politicians always dig the old stories to get a publicity even though the matter doesn't have any sense.

C&AG is constitutional highest audit authority. He has right to report matters of financial irregularity. Once he sends his report, his job is over. He cannot be asked to revise. His report goes to Public Accounts committee of parliament. After C & G report, ball is in court of parliament, PAC and government. Let them accept, reject or modify. There is no point in asking the C&G to revise his report as his job is over. The C&G and his staff need not go in endless discussion on a report finalized by them. .

Digvijay Singh is senior politician yet he is doing this silly mistake. I feel very strange.
Now kapil Sibal has criticized the C & AG in a press conference. I is astonishing that instead of debating the issue in Public accounts Committee, the issue is being discussed in press conference. It appears that the union ministers and the civil society persons like Kejriwal are behaving similarly.
