Do having flowers on hair help gaining confidence for women?
South indian women love to have flowers on their hair which makes them more beautiful. Does it help them think they are much confident?

Jui flowers, Jasmine are used mostly in our occasion and only ladies love it.

They are called jaaji in my place and are grown in many homes.i too have a huge bush which flowers profusely after rains right until the next rainy season.Normally both mangalore mallige (jasmine) and Jaaji are tied into garlands and rolled in this manner and sold in markets..

It is called as Jaathi Malli (Jasmine) in Tamil. I think names are similar.
It looks very similar to pichi. Right? Except light shades of violet. I think it's available here also, with the same name pichi.
Yes I am sure it is the same flower since it will have a different name in different languages..it comes in two varieties , one slightly more pink than white and the other more pinkish purple mixed with white and slightly rounded petals..

I think it's called Neela kanakambaram. Right? :unsure:
We used to make garlands tying its lengthy stalk .......no need of threads.....in my childhood.

Women & girls of Tamilnadu like Malligai (Jasmine) and Kanankambaram much comparing to other places. I have here with attached pictures of kanakabram for those who dont know which is that flower. In Tamilnadu we refer it as Kanakambram. I dont know about other states.

:pinch:In ancient times flowers are very traditional to keep.Jasmine flowers are very nice..
In functions jasmine plays a vital role than other flowers.
In our areas this is Mari gold (Genda) or roses are the main flowers, Jasmine, tuberose, magnolia , mogra are other popular varieties for the function purposes.
