How many of you have donated blood at least once?

I have never done it as I never got an opportunity. My husband did it before 2 months for the first time. I also want to do so. But hearing his words I almost fainted, as I have 'fear of blood'. :( :(

Also, what's your blood group? We two are B positive. Am also positive in my thoughts :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I have donated blood for 7 times. Every year a blood donation camp is organised in our company and i donate blood every time.Even in college also i donated blood for twice. :)

Don't fear for anything they won't take out your whole blood they will take out just a little amount.That's for sure it does not hurt. :)

I really feel dizziness if I see blood....even in a syringe.....
Earlier, I have fallen unconscious several times seeing blood from a wound in finger, may be a small cut of knife..... a feeling of blood rush itself can pull me down :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

My husband is saying, they take a big syringe to get blood quickly in 10 minutes. If I see it surely, I will faint. He even said, we should lay down while injecting. Otherwise we may feel in-comfort . Hearing all these I have given up the idea of blood donating :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

In our town,the hospital are not at good. So,to go there a donate blood,i don't like it.

Syringe packet should be opened in front of your eyes. Otherwise never allow

I have donated blood a couple of times when I was in college.I was in NCC and we had to compulsorily donate blood once a year or more if you wished.I cannot remember how many times, but I have donated then, but not after that ...

Hey Sandhya I was going to start the same thread on blood groups. Anyways ..
could never donate the blood as either I am under the weight or less hemoglobin than required.
My blood group is A -ve the rarest blood group.

-ve group is very rare.They check it before taking blood and if found someone underweight they don't take. :blink:
