It is never an easy task to manage and maintain relationships that matter to us, one has to work at it and also compromise to a certain extent !As long as we are alive and living we have certain responsibilities that we have to shoulder, and managing and maintaining inter personal relationships is one such important aspect of life !Even if you don't care for relationships, you acquire them when you are born into this world. You are a son, daughter ,brother, sister ,cousin etc etc...and keep acquiring more as you go along in life

Keeping relation is easy but to maintain it forever is not so easy.Relation is just like a glass if not kept properly can break easily.Healthy relation need proper understanding between each other.To keep a relation need lot of compromising and adjustment.So very difficult task.
I agree that it is not maintaining good relationships especially among relatives.However, we dont need to bend backwards to please others...as long as we give due respect to others things are bound to be alright.There are some who can never be pleased no matter what you do, and I feel that it is better to just ignore such people ...
Yes,it is really to difficult to maintain a good relationship with our relatives.we have to take care.
Its not that much tough just try not to hurt anyone that will keep your relationships with others intact and strong. :)

Instead of compromising and adjusting, if we are able to communicate each other to rectify those mistakes, then the relationship is more stronger. Otherwise, it will break very soon or later.
I have realised one thing about people, the more you try to be compromising and accommodating the more you are taken advantage of.I feel that it is better to stick to your principles without hurting or harming anyone , but being firm has its advantages...
They would not only consider you weak but incompetent. The times have changed, I know with my own experiences.

Very true sunil,most people dont think beyond themselves and their families .I have seen with my own close relatives .Another point is that the more you ignore and try to keep aloof the more you are in demand :P

Oh God! I don't understand why people make relationships burden on their shoulders. Just relax. Take it easy. Love your dear ones and complete your responsibilities. It is our duty to do so. When we brush our teeth or eat our food or watch movies,etc., we don't feel bothered with these works. Why do you feel burden of relationships and responsibilities?

Yes that could be one of the factors. In fact I had never been with my whole family so know very little about maintaining such relations. Meeting once in a while does not make relations bad unless serious differences I guess.
I have just responded to another thread where i said maintaining relations is not that difficult provided the money part is not involved too much. That is mother of all evil.
This is fact when money gets involved in the relationship it spoils relationship that's why never try to borrow or lend money to friends or relatives. :)

I know this fact very well and that's why our friendship is going on for so long, otherwise you would have refused to know me. But on a serious note if you want to breakup with a friend ask him for money or any other valuable.
